Hi, please consider the authenticity of the following:
Item: Auth HERMES Pleated Scarf 100% Silk MONT SAINCT MICHEL White Great 63338
Ebay seller: steven-japan2525
Item No: 143197913209
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auth-HERME...-SAINCT-MICHEL-White-Great-63338/143197913209
Comment: trusted seller according to fellow trusted scarfie; exact item/pictures separately listed by second “umbrella” seller japanmegamall for $400 more.
I’ve noticed this happening more - identical photos being used from another seller but at a different price. So you’re saying it’s the same folks with multiple eBay store/accounts? Isn’t this against ebay rules? Just trying to understand what/why they’re doing this...

OK mods to bounce to discussion ebay sellers—Yes, same product different sellers different prices, but Not multiple sites owned by single seller.
. Japanmegamall has shown product also sold simultaneously by cool-japan-garden and now this additional one by steven-japan2525. I think I recall correctly a PM where a fellow scarfie referred to japanmegamall as probably a channel for multiple sellers.
My email with them a while back indicated they’d no real knowledge of a particular scarf, e.g., “It’s already boxed” so no details available.

Ahh, I see, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!

There are several online shopping platforms in Japan, unfortunately, items on these platforms can not be shipped to other countries. Then some of Japanese ebay sellers are acting like an agent. They list scarves (from the Japanese website) on ebay, if an ebay buyer buy that scarf, they will purchase it from the Japanese website. So they couldn't provide more details.

for example, one of the sellers mentioned above listed a red hermes semelles CSGM couple of days ago ($1800+), it was originally listed on a Japanese website(about 110,000 yen), same pictures, after item is sold on the Japanese website recently, the ebay seller deleted the listing on ebay . This same seller is also listing a red jungle love CSGM, it was from the same website but different seller.

There are sellers who are selling scarves on Japanese websites as well as ebay, the price is more or less the same after conversion

Dear authenticators, would be very grateful for an opinion on the following, which is my Holy Grail scarf. I did a search and the seller seems to be trusted but just to be safe.

Item: 90cm Le Grand Prix de Faubourg scarf
Seller: greenjade927
Link: here
Comments: The pictures seem to have all requested details - tag, hems, artist signature, H copyright etc.

This is authentic.

Comments: Tag removed, no box, no receipt. Seller said it’s from a family members personal collection and has been authenticated by Hermes.
Fake Hippopolis scarf with many bidders. Many would believe it was authentic. It is close enough to the real one, but when you look closer....

Hello, I am hoping you would kindly share your expertise and time. Photos appear to have been taken with some shadows so the tone makes it difficult to gauge the color. The seller says the care tag was removed after original purchase.

Thank you for saving me the heartache and money
Coincidently.......This seller (nothing_specials_auctions) purchased something from me and I had to message them to let them know I took the item to consignment and failed to remove the listing.....told them I was very sorry. They seemed nice enough about my item........BUT when I brought up their scarf (the one mentioned here in this thread that is not authentic) and mentioned that there is doubt around it’s authenticity.....well....they did a 180......said that Hermes authenticated it and that ladies on tpf needed to get a life. Their reply spoke volumes. An innocent seller making a mistake would have been appreciative of the info, It’s usually the guilty that become defensive imo.

"It’s usually the guilty that become defensive imo" I agree that's usually the case. But when the 98-year-old woman I care for accuses me daily of having different and multiple men in my house I get more than a little defensive. Mostly because it's unfortunately not true. LOL I have been away and am glad that others stepped in, so I didn't see this auction. I trust though that the gals here got it right.
