Amandines, I think this is safe. Most of my really old scarves are less than 90 and not square.

Item: Originalt vintage Hermes skjerf av høy kvalitet - i tykk silke som faller pent.
Item number: 144321431
Seller id: eva-elis
Link: https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=144321431
Could you please take a look at this, it is stated that it measures 90 x 85? I own several vintage scarves, but they are all square and about 90 x 90?
Thank you so much for your help,
Rgds A

Yes this looks like scarf by an artist named something Yannick, he specialized in naughtical themes, there’s another he did I think it is called Vente Portant, or in English “ Carrying Wind”. A carrying wind was a wind directly behind your boat moving you forward so you don’t have to tack across it. There’s also beautiful detail of this that is seen from time to time. I’ll check on this to make sure I’m right, and get back...

Got it! Yannick Manier is artist’s name. There a great website called HCSI Hermes Scarf Photographic Gallery, it’s at piwigo.hermescarf.com...you can identify a lot of scarves there by artist or year or name. His stuff is all there under his name....

Thanks Katriona. Is this an authentication or a general ID-ing?

I believe this is authentic. Would be a great birth year scarf for someone born in 1967 since it appears to be an original issue.

This thread is for live listings. Please ask for authentication prior to purchase. A precise search should glean a lot of information regarding cleaning H-scarves, including hand washing and dry cleaners in different cities. I don’t know what fixing the scarf needs but Hermes might be able to help you or the dry cleaner. Good luck.
