Without the above information and current for sale status there will be no authentication

Is there somewhere else that I can post this question and it has nothing to do with a care tag-no clue where that comment came from. Again, apologies but I would assume that someone on tPF could answer this but I have no idea where to ask.

We ask that anything relating to authenticity stays within the designated threads, but we only authenticate item by item. There generally hasn't been a lot of information here on the RTW. Sorry not to be able to provide more help.

... interesting continuing discussion on the ebay boards. It involves whether there was ever a legit Hermes clothing tag with a 4 spoke carriage wheel. The label does not show up on the Vintage Label Guide ...

You were asking about clothing tags ...

Different tags have been used on clothing and on scarves, this is a scarf discussion thread

As to the Vintage label guide, if you refer to the one written by Geoff Clarke - the only one that I know of - it was written years ago and not updated for a long time and pertains to scarf tags only not clothing tags

Thank you Marie-That helps my search on this.

BTW Marie,

One of the items in question IS a scarf-it's an ombre blue silk wrap with that same funky tag. It's not listed or I would ask directly with the appropriate seller info and listing number. It was asked about on the ebay boards which is how I got involved in this discussion to begin with. Meanwhile I have emailed both Hermes and the Vintage Label Guild so hopefully someone may get back to me. I would think that anyone who buys or sells vintage Hermes (including scarves) would be interested in this information.

Again, this thread is only for currently for sale items with a live online link.

Thanks for your understanding.

Vintage Label Guild ....

Kinda off topic , I pre apologize

Was curious and found

http://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/hermes/

No photos of scarf tags, and the photos are way too small (lol) ... I cannot count the spokes on the wheels ...

This guide is a nice overview and definitely shows how Hermes has used all sorts of labels over time but ...

Gee, there are what a dozen (? more ?? ) different label types currently in use by Hermes just for scarves (none of which are shown) so no wonder a particular scarf tag is not shown on that page - the site shows a survey, not an exhaustive dictionary of labels that might be useful for authentication

Again, this is not the thread for this discussion.

If we could get back to topic, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dear Authenticators would like to call on your expertise again regarding Jardin Creole (detail) 90 cm silk scarf on ebay:

EbaySeller - FreakyNihon
Ebay Listing - 121421166809
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-H...carves_Wraps&hash=item1c4543f8d9#ht_933wt_691

Here are two pictures - more if you follow the link. What's bothering me is the wording on the side "Jardin Creole detail" - clearly shown in one picture. Is this normal? I can't find good pictures from trustworthy sites that give the resolution to show this detail. It also doesn't appear to be signed though there is a hermes copyright and it does say Hermers Paris - again is this normal that its not signed? I thought the general rule was that scarves were signed. Thank you very much in advance.

That is the name of the scarf. It is a small portion (detail) of the 1994 Jardin Creole design. There are many designs that are not signed. This is authentic.

Can you advise on the authentication of my Hermes Birkin handbag? I purchase my Hermes Birkin from a fundraising foundation thrift store. I’ve done a little researched and found it to be either 30cm/35cm Saffron Ostrich Birkin. I have uploaded pictures for your review and comments. Should you require more photos kindly advise.

Thank you

You are posting in the wrong thread. A bag request needs to go into the bag thread. However, before you post there, you need to read the first post which includes the instructions for proper posting. Since your bag has already been purchased, it won't be authenticated here, you need to find a private authenticator. (P.S. I'm not an authenticator, I just hang out here a lot...) Good luck.
