thank you ladies!

I think your friends need friends with authentic bags, I found it interesting that you had two, and now there is a third. Not sure what is really going on here, but I think I will take a pass on a friend of friends bags.

hi gracekelly,

the thing is, i actually have already bought these 3 bags from that horrid friend's friend!! the first bag was actually the black togo in a 40 and i thought it was real, and so i continued to buy the other 2 from her. but i was concerned as the printing of the logo seems to be different from the first, and the locks raised a red flag in my head. Now that you have discerned them to be fake, im VERY VERY concerned that the this black 40 might be fake as well.

i am extremely upset, and at a complete lost on what to do. i wish i had found this thread earlier! i do not know how im going to get my 30,000 sgd back, because the hermes in singapore do not authenticate the items!

and if this is fake as well, i really do not know what to do. omg.

Take them to Hermes and request a spa treatment. See how they react to you bag.

Perhaps the friend who sent you to this seller can intercede for you and help you get your money back.

The bags are new and so I didnt have the cause to bring them for a spa. I did not know what to say to justify the spa! I would send them in if I could. I did bring the black and gold 35 to the hermes boutique in singapore cos i was not so sure about their authenticity due to the locks, but the SAs at Liat Towers did not want to comment on the locks and only told me that they could it send in to Paris for me. Then when i went to the other Hermes outlet in Ngee Ann City, i was told the locks were normal.

This friend's friend that i bought from is actually supposedly a reseller in singapore, and the birkins the she gets are from the socialites who have easy access to the birkins and get a cut out it due to the premium. I thought it was safe as I actually received a photocopied Paris receipt for each bag, but all the details such as card number, card holder and everything was liquid-ed out.

I really do not know what to do now.. and now I'm not even sure if the other black 40 is real or not. I used to think it was real but with all these problems cropping up i am very uncertain. so should i send all 3 to a spa? on what grounds?

do you think i could file a police report? I know where this friend's friend stays.

sorry for my incessant questions...

I think that you should have told the entire truth when you first posted the bags. There is a reason why there is a format and we ask people to follow it and state where the bags come from. I am not going to comment on your bags further and if you have doubts, let them be sent to Paris.

At this point I would like to add a general comment.

KNOW YOUR SELLER . That does not mean your seller has to be a friend of yours, no. That means you should know how your seller work, and where or whom they get their bags from.

Without doing any favoritism or judging a priori, there are some sellers I know I can buy any bag from, and other sellers i know I should get any and every bag they offer authenticated before I buy.

And this leads me to another comment : Receipts do not mean anything. Copies, original, blanked ones....any...

you can say you would like to enquire about getting your intitials on the bag, rather than a spa service. And get the police involved if you cannot get your money back if the bags are deemed counterfeit by H.

Thank you Gracekelly, perlerare and cobaltblu for the advise and help, it is much appreciated!

I actually went to hermes in a fluster, but i was very very fortunate that the master craftsman (or craftswoman in this instance) was in the store and she was able to verify that my bag was authentic. The SA was really helpful and took it to the craftsman to verify as i told her that i wanted to file a police report.

I am so glad that they turned out to be real in the end. :sweatdrop:

Thank you all very much!
