It is authentic. Very used. Very old.
Before Hermes had their own stores in the USA (early 60's if I recall well), Bownit Teller was their official dealer, and the bags were marked that way.

Just to add to this: Bonwit Teller was a very fine ladies store in the New York area. I think BT closed circa 1980.

I have looked at your pix. I am afraid this bag is not authentic. Do what you need to do to get your money returned to you.
Thanks so much for looking at my item, I'm in the process of making the claim with Ebay right now. Will let you know if I need any further documentation but I beileve that should be it. Thanks so much for your help.

People, are we living on the planet called "Backwards?"

You pay money and then want to know if it is authentic? My eyeballs are spinning in my head and my head is spinning on my neck! PT Barnum said there was a sucker born every minute.

Apparently, the economic situation is pretty good in some places on this planet that people are so willing to waste their money. I am looking for my bowl of sympathy, but I seem to have misplaced it.

Dear Authenticators - do you think this bag is authentic? TIA!

Comments: If it's authentic, considering the wear and damage to the handle, is this a fair price?

The pix are, shall we say, brutally honest. Some serious scuffing to the leather. I think a little reduction in price would not be unreasonable to ask for.

Comment: Hi all. Is this authenticate? The price is too attractive. Thanks.

The price is "too attractive" because it is not authentic. Of course, $3,250 for a fake is not attractive at all. And when a seller cautions you not to buy if you are concerned about authenticity ... I would take them at their word.
