Authenticate this Hermes **BAG** Archived 07/31/10

Hi Ladies and Gents:

This is a bag from a reseller in Taiwan and listed on the local Yahoo auction. The price quoted is equivalent to ~USD 4,375. The original owner claims to have bought this in Japan and it is F year. Although not pictured, the dust bag is the old style orange bag.

The bag pictured looks authentic, but the price seems a little high. Is this a trusted seller? There is/was a similar bag recently on yahoo.jp, are you sure this bag is in the sellers posession. I just get a little squeamish when I cannot read the listings. Gorgeous bag though.

Yes the Kelly is authentic but it is not in the condition as stated and I would establish the age before bidding etc.

1. Birkin. This is one weird looking bag and I really don't care for it. This seller usually sells authentic, but this bag is pushing the edge of the envelope with me. The inside is awful and the feet are poking thru the lining where you can see their impression.

2. Kelly is authentic. Worn. Wear can be painted over,but that is it. The grain is stamped into the leather and can not be replicated.

I have a feeling that she picked these up at a resale shop or auction.

Yes I think it is authentic.
Asking price sounds a bit high, though. Fortunately there is a Best Offer option.

The pictures show an authentic Kelly from the 50's. They are not good enough to see the condition of this bag in a detailed way, but good enough to see it is very beat up.
Know what you are buying.

Please don´t pay! I am NOT an authenticator but that bag looks really bad IMO. Wait for the experts though!

Btw. A receipt is A PIECE OF PAPER!!!!!! What is important is the BAG!!!!!
