oh no Sunshine:wtf: Are you sure.. I am comparing it to my other Gucci Bags and my other ones are off white and have somewhat of the same effect but not as much as this does.. Did anyone buy this bag from an authorized retailer such as Gucci or department store that they can compare the tag too?

I have 4 other Gucci bags but Gucci seems to be so inconsistent with their hardware. My one Gucci tote has GUCCI on the leather zipper pull and has no leather around the entire zipper. My other Gucci Hobo I just bought has no GUCCI on the zipper pull and leather all around the zipper..

So what do you think of this bag? Can anyone compare the details to an authentic one of theirs?

IS it just me or the FONT on the serial is different from the top than the bottom (look at the "2" on the top compared at the bottom) Also the size of the font on the numbers differentiates from number to number ("7" is bigger than the "3", and the sizes of "6", "2", and "1" bothers me, also all the "0"'s are the same but "926" is bigger.

Checking my Gucci bags right now... But to my knowledge the font sizes should be all the same.

Ok just checked... but its hard to tell.... I see some numbers are bigger like the 9 and the 7 but not that big compared to the others...

The font is all the same so the "2" in the picture above is bothering me.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this.. I have 4 Gucci bags in the brown gg and offwhite leather trim and I am looking at all of those numbers under the tag and there is hardly any consistency with their features.. They all almost look crooked maybe as if the reels on the stamp are not aligned? My one Gucci bag doesn't even have 6 numbers on the 2nd row.. I bought all my Gucci's on 5th Ave and the Madison stores...Here's a pic of a Gucci Tote I bought last year from the 5th Ave store. I wish Gucci was more consistent...

An authentic white Gucci Blondie bowler should have a navy blue lining, have 5 rounded feet on the bottom, webbing should be navy/red/navy not black/red/black, the leather is soft and the bag collapses when not stuffed..should not be stiff, on mine the 1st serial # is 131030 (should be the same or a similar number in this series beginning with 131xxx).

I have an authentic pink Gucci Hawaiian exclusive tote and it has 4 digits on the second row also

hmm.. are you asking me or Chanel Chick.. I guess I didn't see chanelchick posting a question... Sorry about the confusion...

My friend actually has this bag in brown so I am going to check her bag in a few hours...Oh I'm hoping this is ok.. I would be so sick if it was fake.

I happened to do a search on the board about bag borrow or steal and I saw they were sued by Gucci last year of selling fakes.. I did some online research and saw some articles that they have discontinued using that fake distrubutor.. I really want to believe they changed. I don't want to be part of this at all if they did not change. I guess I should've looked before I leapt but I didn't think that they would be fakes for rent..

If anyone has this bag in white.. I would sure appreciate if you can tell me if your tag looks like mine or not..

ok.. I checked out my friends bag...She went back home and brought it back into work. The serial#s definitely look more uniform and straight on her bag. I called bag borrow or steal and they say that the bag is authentic and they only get their bags from authorized dealers... Everything on the Gucci Bag looks almost identical except for the tag as ChanelChick pointed out..

I told the rep that I don't feel comfortable, especially when they were accused before of selling fakes. They will refund me once the bag is returned. They still stand behind their statement of authenticity. I told them that maybe they don't know that their distributor is not reliable? And I told her they should check it out. I don't think she believed me but at least I'm getting my money back.
