Not sure if I'm doing this the right way. I have several Gucci wallets that I acquired at an estate auction. I can't seem to find a serial number on any of them. I am pretty sure that they are vintage 70's or so. The wallet pictured here had a receipt (not a receipt for the wallet) dated 1982 inside. One of the checkbook covers has a paper tag with numbers from the anniversary collection.
