 Please someone tell me if this is a knock-off Fossil. I’m getting conflicting answers looking online and feel really foolish about the whole thing.

A friend of mine opted to give it to me instead of donating it; I don’t know where she got it or how much she paid for it.

It appears authentic.

I second Whateve's call. It looks authentic.

I have looked and looked on eBay and Google, trying to find the correct name for this Fossil Fifty Four Handbag. I found only 2 or 3 images on Google of a handbag that looks just like this, but in a Brown/Cognac color. The seller called it a "Natasha," but when I google "Fossil Fifty Four Natasha," the purses that come up have leather handles (whereas this one has chain), and they don't have the kiss-lock (ball-clasp? what's the correct term?) closure like this one has. Also, I haven't found any images of this purse in black.

So I have several questions:

a) does anyone know the name of this bag? Is it just a variation of the Natasha, or does it have it's own style name?

b) I've read in several online forums where people ask for Fossil Authentication, only to have each response be along the lines of, "Fossil isn't counterfeited." Is this accurate? Do I really and truly NOT have to worry about problems with authenticity?

Thank you in advance for any info / input you can give me, I really appreciate it!
This purse is pretty and it is legit. It inspired Tory Burch's Kisslock Soft Fleming

I recently purchased a Fossil purse on shopgoodwill.com. Can you authenticate it? It's leather, but the one thing that worries me is that the lining does not have the fossil logo printed on it, although the purse has the marks of use, so may be rather old. Pics and measurements below:
width approximately 10.5 inches
height approximately 9 inches
depth about an inch
front pocket with Fossil issue no. 1954 printed on it in gold, and tag with a metal plate and the same text on it. 20220109_141736.jpg20220109_141749.jpg20220109_141813.jpg

shb-31251 . But for some reason I'm having an issue finding anything definitive

Is there a number on the tag inside? Sometimes you can Google that number and find something.

Authentic or total fake? Found at a thrift store, I don't see a key and it doesn't have the "classic" lining. But I could also be wrong because I've never had/seen one before.
