I have a similar handbag that I bought in Summer 2006 that is also stamped "Anna Corinna." I assume it's from the Spring 2006 collection. Mine is definitely authentic, considering I bought it at Saks! Just because it's stamped "Anna Corinna" doesn't mean it not authentic. IMHO, it's probably authentic. Hope that helps!

i recently purchased a foley bag on ebay and it looks amazing outside but i'm pretty skeptical on the inside.. especially the zipper...please help me identify thanks.

Am sorry to ask this silly question but I just purchased my first F+C Mid City tote on Ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261125907080?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 and the lady that sold it said it was not a counterfeit. I recently received it and I love it! great leather and ample size. But I can't tell if is legit?
One thing missing is an inside label. The made in.....one? Could you please let me know if these bags do have a Made in label. Thanks!

I didn't figure they'd have fakes, but thanks to you folks I find I am naive once again. The closest model I can find via my friend Google is the Layla, but still not quite the same. Thanks for advice!

unfortunately i realized today that i also bought a fake Foley and Corinna mid-city tote bag on eBay by a seller named "mellowdusk". The bag is definitely a good fake, i love it from the outside, but have always thought the inside pockets were not that great -- zippers suck, pockets are big and loose, no phone compartment etc... Then today on the train the girl next to me has the same bag but hers has a hardware-like tag on the strap. so then i start looking online, and i can see that my lining is totally wrong, the zippers on the inside are completely different, and the pockets are as well. and now -- the gold label on the inside is rubbing off. it was clearly written in gold paint marker!! even though i like this bag, i feel completely deceived that i paid $300 for a FAKE!

I've been searching for a good deal on F&C for a while and saw this thread. Figured I'd post this in case anyone else is interested in avoiding someone selling knock-offs. "Mellowdusk" has changed their seller ID to "avidshopping."

It looks like this same seller also goes by "mellowdusk2".

I have seen the new mid city totes with the hardware-like tag on the long strap but am wondering if that is a new feature. I am certainly not an expert but am just wondering if its possible the older bags (say 3+ years old) weren't as nice on the inside and didn't have that nameplate?

I have 2 mid city totes (one Anna Corinna and one f&c) and as I got them both used I'm not 100% sure they are authentic. I suppose I should post pics here--I only found this thread today! But they are such nice quality and look great I didn't really question them until today.

Mellowdusk2 has a bag I'm interested in and claims its from 2009 but I definitely don't want a fake. Is it just me or are these bags not made with enough distinguishing marks to really check for authenticity? What details should I take pics of to get my bags authenticated here?
