Hi

Please forgive me if I am not posting correctly, as this is my first time, and not sure of how to navigate, etc here.
I have purchased this Fendi bag from Deluxe Moda. Though I am not expert like most of you, all looked pretty good, except for the hologram, which is a sticker placed on an inside seam tag. Underneath, it does have "this tag is blahblahblah, & authenticates authenticity. However, I doubt Fendi would use a hologram sticker that looks like it wants to peel off the tag where it was stuck to. I cringe, because I basically already know the verdict, but can you just look at the photo link to confirm my suspicion..Or maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised???? Thank You so much

It's fake!

no, the hologram is NOT a sticker and it cannot come off. The number on the hologram is NEVER the same as on the authenticity card. They are two separate entities. The style number on the leather serial strip should always match the style number on the authenticity card

Since posting the above question & photo, I have found, what I believe is my answer on estyle.com (hologram questions). I have copied & pasted the info I found below, in order to help others who may still have the same question. Also, we would not want to wrongly accuse someone of selling a fake bage because the hologram is adhered on the fabric tag, when in fact, this is how it is done.
If the experts here refute this information, please please please let me know, and why. Thank you so much

Another Fendi Hologram Question
Friday, November 16th, 2007

I had a few more questions about the Fendi Authenticity information you’ve provided on your site. One is that the hologram that is on the opposite side of the Fabric tag, is this a sticker tag (removable) or a sewn in tag? Secondly, on the interior leather tag, does the engraved number need to be exactly the same as the number on the Fendi authenticity/controllato card? If not, does it need just the style number along with other numbers? Your site and information are superb….Thanks for your information… it is so helpful.

Hi Mary Ann
The hologram is a stickered tag if you will. More specifically, “a hologram with a sticky backing that adheres to the fabric tag that is sewn into the lining”. It is removable only in that it can come off, but is not meant to, of course.

The numbers on the leather tag should include the style number but I can’t say with complete certainty that it is ‘exactly’ the number on the Fendi authenticity card or not.

The bag has either a serial # in the pocket or lining or a hologram tag & leather serial # strip, more likely the former on this style. Include pics of the serial #. :D

Need to see a clear close-up pic of the hologram tag as well. It is usually on the opposite end of the bag from the leather serial strip...
