Just curious...what part of the embroidery doesn't look right? I know that it does have "condition issues"... (several threads on the embroidery are pulled or are hanging) Is it something else about the way it's embroidered that doesn't look right? From what I can tell, it's machine embroidered...should it be hand?
Also...I've read that not all Fendi bags have serial numbers (vintage)...is that not the same with the baguettes?
I'm new to all this "identifying stuff" ...answering my additional inquiries would be much appreciated (and a way for me to learn more :smile1:)
We don't discuss specifics here too much because those who make the fakes learn from these threads & make better fakes. There are a number of things wrong, but I just mentioned a few. It is very complex process to learn this, best to send us pics mentioned in Post #1 of this thread & we can help U out. :smile1:

Thanks! ...and yeah..I can totally see how some fake bag maker may get more info from that kind of post...

I'm debating on returning it for my whopping $14.00 back. Even though I didn't buy it from someone trying to pass it off as legit....I'm not 100% comfortable carrying it if it's that obvious to someone who has knowledge about them...I'm not into supporting the fake industry, even by just carrying the bag... Now if it were only "designer inspired" and not being passed off as the real thing (hardware/logo & such), that's a different story...

Thanks again! :smile1:

Hi, I just found this bag and am very unfamiliar with Fendi. It seems quite old and worn and I hope to fix her up if real. The biggest problem due to wear and age, is there is only a tiny bit of the gold foil imprint of the #'s on the pocket..totally unreadable. The rest looks like good quality details though. The drawstring is very old and needs to be replaced for sure.

Looks good, IMO!

I'm going to say fake on this one. The card isn't the right card for the bag :-s (SMALL??). If its at all possible a close up of the wand would help say for sure if its fake. That's my opinion please wait for other ladies to comment. All the best.
Fab - When they first came out with the Spy Bag, FENDI had an even Larger Spy (it's huge & style 8BR512). So many of the early "regular" spy bags say they are "SMALL" -- even though they seem to be the regular size....just a bit of history! :D
Either way, agree with Accio - this is a fake

Hey...just wanted to say thanks again...as I was returning the bag to the thrift store chain where I found it, there was a man in line that I chatted with that "knew his bags". He helped point out what else was wrong with it :smile1: We also went over details of the authentic (large) Vintage Louis Vuitton bag he was waiting to pay for (for a mere 34.99!)
