What worries me is the hologram tag has no numbers. That to me is a red flag. I've never seen the newer tags in the chef zucca. (Do they still make them?) The zipper pull concerns me too. I'm leaning towards a really good fake but wait for baglady1 she has more expertise on the newer models than I.
-Update: I noticed that the listing has several of these models up for grabs that's a red flag too and I looked more closely to at the pull tab and I'm going to have to go with my first assumption that this is not an authentic fendi- Please wait for the others to comment. Best of Luck.

What confuses me more is I look up the item number and it pulls up a store in Italy and another in Hong Kong. Both pull-up the same purse. I purchased my purse from Italy.
Wow that's not good at all. Its sad to say that there are fakes sold in italy. They play on the fact that gucci and fendi are italy based so people will assume its real plus you pulled up hong kong (home of the super fakes) in your research (red flag). Don't feel bad because I brought a versace on ebay and sent it right back in the same day. It was a super duper good fake but it was the little details that gave it away. After that I double checked all my versace and thank god that they are all authentic. Wait for baglady1 and the others to confirm or not confirm.

This is a newer Chef bag. Things are a bit different in FENDI world on the elements of authenticity. Agree with Accio. The bag is authentic!

Can you authenticate this from? TIA she said the hologram sticker is missing from previous wear.

Hi there. I've come to this site a few times...but it's my first post today...
I found this Fendi Bag at a thrift store. I figured out it's the baguette, and most likely a vintage. I've compared the hardware to the vintage Baguettes Fendi has on their website and all details they had pics of matched what I have (even found the same style plaque on the inside under the zipper). I only have my doubts because it doesn't have any serial numbers at all, or any tags. Also, as far as construction goes, the holes for the straps are a little crooked (I know there are a few condition issues...but it is used). Other than that, the measurements are dead on... soo...Opinions please...

ETA: The fabric is satin...and has a very nice "heavy" feel to it...it doesn't feel like a "cheap" satin (and I know my quality fabrics pretty well.. :) )

And if you know what season this came out that would be wonderful!

Hi guys, I posted here before and here are my pending pics. Please authenticate. I'm kind of suspicious because the strap does not feel like leather at all. Thanks a lot!!!

Here's the listing: LINK

THANKS!!
It should have a serial # imprinted on the lining or inside a pocket. Without that, I can't say if it is real or not, but it should be a real leather strap on a bag like this....;)
Also the edge sealant in black looks mighty sloppy.....

looks fake.....
It would most definitely have a serial # imprinted in the pocket & the embroidery is just not right.

..the embroidery is just not right.

Just curious...what part of the embroidery doesn't look right? I know that it does have "condition issues"... (several threads on the embroidery are pulled or are hanging) Is it something else about the way it's embroidered that doesn't look right? From what I can tell, it's machine embroidered...should it be hand?
Also...I've read that not all Fendi bags have serial numbers (vintage)...is that not the same with the baguettes?
I'm new to all this "identifying stuff" ...answering my additional inquiries would be much appreciated (and a way for me to learn more :smile1:)

ETA: Just called Fendi corportate...they said not all Baguettes have serial numbers, but it would be going back "like 14 years ago"....so pretty much the first year or so these came out... hmmm.....:hrmm:
