I have trawled through so many pages of this thread, i have to ask for help sorry!
I found a 'fendi' handbag today in a charity shop and im not sure if its genuine or not?
I dont mind either way because I've got a lovely bag for very cheap
I cannot find a pic of the bag on the internet anywhere!
It has the classic style i believe(?) inside it has a gold plaque engraved with ''FENDI S.A.S ROMA MADE IN ITALY'' and the left side of the plaque is circular with 2 Fs next to eachother, (1 upside down) with 'Fendi roma italy 1925 and a star surrounding the 2 Fs.
It has the FF under the zip and the zip pulls themselves look like gold small thin padlocks with FF cut out of them.
It has a shimmery satin bronze lining with 'FENDI' stitched horizontally randomly. It has a dark brown flap over to join it to the gold clasp.
Interestingly, underneath the gold FF buckle, it has fendi engraved on the gold edge and made in italy. The on the actual round clasp it has engraved ''UK.D973682 then a circle with a V in it, then UK PAT 1519246''
The buckles of the strap also have Fendi engraved on their edges.
Any help is greatly appreciated! thanks

There is something off about this bag...
Would need to see a clear, close up pic of the serial number embossed in the lining of the zippered pocket on the interior. Also, a clear pic of the lining would be nice

Hi there, as A.S. mentioned something doesn't look right. It looks fake to me.
side note: the reason why we authenticate here is we do not condone the buying replica bags.
I was looking at an older Baguette on ebay and did Fendi put the Fendi nameplate on one side of a piece of leather and a serial number on the back, that is sewn just below the zipper? I have seen the serial number stamped like this on several bags just don't feel comfortable about it not sure if this is correct. On this one the plate is missing. Thanks much

Not sure how to edit, my mistake I meant to say the "did Fendi put the Fendi nameplate on one side of a piece of leather and a serial number on the back, that is sewn just across from the zipper, opposite side?

Have seen a number of these but I don't feel comfortable with them - several things are inconsistent with other baguettes I have seen FENDI make. Just can't say for sure because this is vintage item & I really question the fact that the interior FENDI plate is missing & the snap is circular rather than square. I would pass, but JMHO.

I had no idea it was a fake at the time of purchase, If i did know at the time it was a fake I certainly wouldnt have bought it.
It was very cheap and is still is a nice bag, (which should have set alarm bells ringing) I have no intention of selling it on or trying to pass it off as genuine.
I had no knowledge of this site until i searched today, but i am greatful for your advice.
I will keep it or throw it away.

We don't normally authenticate something like this, we just don't have the expertise & the identifying tags aren't shown or available (like hologram & serial #). That being said, FENDI is a big time furrier & the description card looks consistent with Auth Fendi, as well as the pink strip of Selleria leather in pearl pink.
