Please be patient.

Authenticators offer this service on their own time. We have jobs, families, obligations, homes, errands, etc. and aren't always available to respond immediately. Allow 12-24 hours before bumping a post. Thanks.

The bag is authentic.

Item Name: florentine satchel in fuschia
Link: bag is in my possession

Is anyone available to take a peek at this bag for me? I own a few florentine satchels (all newer) and the handles on this one aren't as sturdy as my others. They are a tad thinner as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

It’s genuine.

It’s genuine.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your time and expertise with this. I'm not sure if you can help or point me in the direction of where I can inquire about the handles. I'm comparing it to my natural, navy, and ecru satchels (all purchased from Dooney dot com in the past year). The handles on the fuschia are an awful lot thinner and flexible. Is that normal?

Hi i never met to “bump it up.” It’s the first time i ever post here asking for this, i just reread my message and saw i didn’t say please or thank you and felt bad about that so i saw i couldn’t edit the original post so i put that on a new post. I would never think anybody needs to answer me for a small trivial thing like a bag authenticity. Thanks very much though and my bad if it came off like that.

Apologies aren't necessary!

I do see the difference but can't give a definitive answer to explain the difference.

It's possible that Dooney may have tried to save money by making the handles on a later version a bit narrower, figuring that the average person may not notice but since you have others of the same style, you did notice.

I'm guessing it's another example of shrink-flation - where rather than raising prices, companies reduce the sizes of items small amounts at a time.

Do you remember when ice cream used to come in 1/2 gallon tubs (64 oz)? Then they reduced the size to 56 oz., after which they further reduced it to the current 48 oz. Because the container looks the same, we didn't catch it at first.

It happens with cereal and facial tissues. CheerioCustomers don't want to see increases in price so they do it by reducing the number of ounces in the cereal box or the number of Kleenex in the box. The keep the packaging so similar in size that it often goes unnoticed.

Whether this is what Dooney is doing or not, I can't be sure but it's my guess.

Would you please authenticate this satchel I purchased from a consignment shop? Do you have any idea what year it was made? It came with a key ring & cosmetic bag inside. Thank you
13" x 10" x 5"

Would you please authenticate this bag I purchased from a friend? It's about 10.5" x 8"
Is this Toiny leather? I can't find a fabric tag inside the bag unless it's hidden somewhere I don't see. Would appreciate a professional opinion
Thank you

It's authentic but I don't know when it was made.
Thank you! I would love if there were vintage Dooney catalog pictures to reference online. I have only had luck browsing worthpoint catalogs listed and the facebook authentication that has a few price lists from the early 2000's. So many of the vintage dooney styles were made in different leathers and I am really getting into learning about them. I remember reading something on TPF awhile ago I think Hyacinth or one of you ladies had written something about using the wayback machine. I havent been able to figure it out I am going to try to learn how. Have you ever used the wayback machine to find early catalog pictures?

I recently purchased this wallet, which I believe is a Dillen Pebble Grain Leather zip around small wallet? I would like to know if it is authentic?
