Hi,
I have just purchased a mini lady Dior in Black lambskin ghw on EBay, I always purchase all my designer goods at boutiques this is the first time buying preowned, after Bidding buyer has asked if I can meet in person to avoid ebay and paypal fees and will give me £50 discount.. I said I can meet at a Dior store in central London as it is a halfway point for both of us, at the boutique I can compare the bag i brought to their lady Dior mini before paying her cash.. She said she can't meet at the store and was persistant for me to come to her house as she claims its safer, I declined and said I will meet you at Dior so she compromised and said she can meet at the train station at green park (which is only 5 minutes away from the boutique so I don't see why she can't come to a boutique? :s )
I'm just feeling a bit concerned now that the bag may not be genuine as she seems to be acting a little off. I just need to be certain I protect myself from any scams.

This bag is fake. That's why she doesn't want you to meet her at the Dior boutique. I'm glad that you came here for an authentication before paying her.
By the way, I like how you asked her to meet you at the Dior boutique. Very smart move
Lol I assumed if its all legit she'd have no problem meeting at a boutique, weirdly she emailed me this morning saying she will cancel the transaction as she doesn't want eBay payment so I agreed to cancel, then hours later she changes her mind and said she'll meet me at a boutique I spent 2 days asking to meet at a boutique and she says no now she finally changes her mind... I feel like I've spent 2 days going back and forth on a meeting point for this transaction its getting a bit silly.. I think I shall wait till Xmas and just buy from a boutique, much less of a hassle 
I also called Dior yesterday and they told me they can no longer authenticate their bags anymore which I found odd incase the girl gives me a super fake the staff may not even be able to tell, I guess each brand is different in authenticating.

You're welcome! The seller going back and forth like that is very strange.
Most brands don't offer to authenticate bags, and to me this makes sense. Sales associates are not necessarily trained on how to spot fakes, and even if they are, they may make mistakes. It would be embarrassing for the brand if an SA who isn't as knowledgeable says that an authentic Dior purse is fake because he/she hasn't seen a particular style before.
I do agree that you should buy it from the boutique. With all the super fakes and scammers out there, it's safest to buy from the boutique, and you will get a brand new bag with great customer service and after-sales service.
We can't tell if a bag is fake or real by the serial number. It's actually a date code. It means your bag is made in 2010.
Still looking for a Lady Dior Medium in black and found this one on Tradesy. May I please ask for your opinion again on whether you think it looks authentic. I have copied the pictures in the listing and attached them here. Thanks so much again!!
