Hello! This little guy has me a little stumped. Every other example of an H1P bag I have been able to research shows the word "THE" on the previous line after "COWHIDE". The bag measures 6.5" width, 6" height, 2.25" depth, 21" drop length. Thanks for your help, ladies!!

We've seen a lot of small variations in the Costa Rica stamps, going back to at least 1998, both in the creed and the serial number stamps. This one also has a slightly different serial font. It also has an outlet stamp, just like this listing I found for a style 9950 with exactly the same creed stamping. So my guess would be that the plant may have had 2 different but almost identical creed stamps. Maybe the other one with "The" on the previous line was used as the primary stamp because it opened up the second-last line a bit and made it look less squished-together? The one you're asking about with the squished-together words could have been kept as a back-up. Just a guess. It doesn't look like there are any problems with the bag itself.

I am suspicious because of the quality of stitching (uneven edges), and I also realize that most of the bags on Ebay have exactly the same serial number - what are the chances that they were produced all the same month and in the same plant? Also the H on one side of the the tag is blurry, although I've seen it on real ones. Otherwise the leather looks very good.

I don't know of any reason why the majority of one style couldn't have been made in the same plant and month, especially with a limited line like the Geometrics. It's much more efficient that way. There's nothing wrong with it that I can see.

hi im planning to buy this swagger 27 from a person on a marketplace and it is preloved. But im suspicious of its authenticity as it is sold at 150 SGD while others usually sell at $300SGD. the person also mentioned that the bag is a gift, bought from US. This is the IMG_0343.PNG IMG_0344.PNG IMG_0345.PNG IMG_0346.PNG IMG_0347.PNG link to the bag http://carousell.com/p/112198879

Please help me to see if this is authentic, thank you very much.

Thanks! Now I can take it for some TLC.

Does anyone here know whether the bags from the Sheridan collection were made in USA and had creeds without numbers? I have a bag that I bought at a thrift shop. I showed it to one of the Coach craftsmen and he said that the bag looks authentic, but he thought those were only made in Italy and he wasn't sure whether they had numbers on their creeds. The creed on my bag says that it was made in US and it doesn't have a number. Thanks in advance.

Many of the earlier ones didn't have any serial numbers, and they were made in the US, Italy and Costa Rica. None of the bags from the related Dakota Collection had any serial numbers at all, just creed stamps.

We would need to see photos to tell you if it's authentic. Please read Post number One in this thread to see what photos and other information we need, and follow the format asked for in that post..

Where did you find a Coach craftsman?

Thank you thank you! I'm saving that photo for the future. <3

In NY flagship store, 5th avenue and 53rd street. There is usually at least one of these guys present there for monogramming, customizing, cleaning and whatever else they do there on the spot. They wear cute leather aprons with a turnlock.

I did not take and post the pictures because visually the bag is absolutely authentic, including the age and wear of leather (according to what he said).

Thanks, I didn't know they had craftspeople in their main store.

Keep in mind though that since those Sheridan styles are around 25 years old it's very likely that current employees wouldn't be personally familiar with them. especially since Coach seems to have mostly abandoned their repair service a while back. Their in-house authentication service was shut down about 10 years ago, too, so Coach employees should never be the Last Word in whether something's genuine. Most of Coach's original leatherworkers were experienced craftspeople between 25 and 50-plus years old judging by the photos in Coach's 1977 (?) book The Factory and originally from Central and South America and I doubt if many, if any, of them are still there, so current employees have no direct connection to styles made that long ago. Fortunately faked Sheridans can be fairly easy to spot since almost all of the ones we've seen were made in Korea and usually say so right under the creed.

Even the apparent quality of an item can't be taken as proof of authenticity. We've heard from a small number of people who unknowingly bought fakes, mainly older ones in classic and vintage styles, and were happy with the quality of what they bought. So authentications based on the actual details of the item are usually a good idea for the majority of buyers.

Want to order this bag. do u think it is authentic?
NO. B1520 F 55446
Where did you get that bag? Is there a link? What country are you in? (Are you in the Philippines?)

I'm not comfortable with that bag but other opinions are welcome.

I believe the mini bennett with style 55446 is supposed to be plaid.

The signature version should be style 36702.

I see a piece of the price tag in one of your pictures. Can you please post a full picture of both sides of it?

I want to warn you that the Swaggers and several other newer styles from the last 3-ish years have been very "well-faked." (There's a post on the coach subforum where I issued a warning.)

As such, pictures need to be well-focused closeups. And that's not what's shown in foryourtime's listing. In fact, in her listing, the first picture is a stolen stock image from Coach and tells us nothing except that the seller is willing to infringe on Coach's copyrighted materials.

I need to see hardware, CLEAR picture of the creed, zipper pulls (inside and out), trim, stitching, lining, straps, closeups of where straps are stitched and attached to the front of the bag, closeup of logo and front turnlock hardware, and pictures of the full front, back, side.

If the seller isn't willing to take good clear pictures, I'd avoid the listing. It's not a great deal if the item is fake!

This is a puzzler. There's been some discussion about use of the R plant and from what I've seen, the fakes look pretty similar to the probably-genuine R bags.

So I'm curious about this listing. I question it because the spacing and font differ from one in my own files. Other concerns are the texture and wrinkling of the front and bottom. (Front looks elephant-y.)

Shall post side by sides.
