Thank you for your response.I'm not an expert on this style but I'm seeing discrepancies. I don't have an B factory creeds from 2002. The latest I have from that plant is 1999. I doubt the factory was still being used in 2002. I don't know when they stopped making this style but all of the others I see were made in 1996 or 1997. The font of the creed is not like any creed I've ever seen for this plant. It is similar to the font that was used in 2002 in Costa Rica, but this is much sloppier, particularly the words "natural"(second occurrence) and "leather." By 2002, creeds were much neater and uniform. I don't believe this is an authentic 2002 creed.
The holes through which the drawstring passes look too crude, too square. On the bags I'm comparing it to, the holes are rounded on the ends. On this listing, you can see the hardware backs on the inside of the bag (picture 4) http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Leath...5?pt=US_CSA_MWA_Backpacks&hash=item2341068f01
On the listing by debbieb208 you can see the hardware is completely different.
It looks like the turnlock placement is slightly off center on DebbieB208's bag. (Having some experience sewing I can understand it's hard to get the placement right every time, but each part is placed badly.) The stitching to me also seems different between the flap and the bag. It's so much smaller on the flap than it is on the main body of the bag to the point where there's no differentiation between each stitch in some parts. It looks like this seller's track record of selling fakes is safely intactThank you for your response.
Here's another difference. Compare the closure hardware, leather and the inconsistent stitch length in the same areas on both debbieb208 's bag and the authentic comp.

And here are the last two for this morning-- and the most exciting for me. My first pre-creed bag!
Item: Thompson Drawstring? H7D-9804 In Saddle or Honey?
Size: 9.25" long x 3.75" deep x 10.75" tall with 39" strap
This one was actually an eBay purchase. It has unique strap style with extra brass oval rings attaching the straight strap to the sections with the holes. I'm not sure the name but found another listing on the bay with this name. Is this correct?
Item: Early Coach
Size: 11" long x 8" tall x 3.25" deep with 5" or 5.5" strap drop.
Turn lock closure pockets on both sides, open center compartment with striped fabric lining just on bottom (brass feet prongs poking thru bottom panel). Little black metal plate inside one of the outside pockets.
If this last one is authentic, any idea about a style name or date? Thanks!!!
Does anybody know when Coach started making bags in the Phillipines? It's authentic.
I'm so jealous of your pre-creed bag! Congratulations. My ideal find would be this style in a fun color. I think it was called a Safari bag. It is a Bonnie Cashin design, probably from 1966 - 1968.And here are the last two for this morning-- and the most exciting for me. My first pre-creed bag!

The Bleecker backpack is authentic. This is the P plant code, not B. The B in this creed is the month code.Hi, I'd appreciate opinions on this backpack. I read whateve's post regarding not seeing B plant creeds after 1999. This is 2000, so not too far off...
Both of these look good. And a couple more...

Both look good.Good morning! I have a number of bags from a couple of thrifting trips and would like authentication. Thanks!
Item: Coach Chrystie 9892 in red and in white
size: 7.5" long x 6" tall x 2.5" deep. Strap drop 23" on red and 24" on white.
Both have spring pull button closure
The white bag has a wrinkle in the leather just above the serial number and I found it really hard to see and almost impossible to photograph. I think the first three digits are A5D and the last is def 9892.
