Darn it! I remembered that as soon as you said it. I just don't look at them and see dates unless I am concentrating. Sorry! Do you know the style name by any chance?

It was made for factory so without a new one with a tag it would be difficult to know. There aren't any catalogs for factory items. I think it is probably Penelope Linen Signature Hippie.

I would like your help in authenticating this coach bag. According to the seller,she mentioned that she got them as Gift With Purchase after buying some coach fragrances. She has black, blue and pink coach bag. The material is nylon.

I tried searching the web for this but couldn't find any information on this nylon bag.Do you think these are authentic? Thanks in advance.

She has it listed in the description as "Laura Ashley" but I don't think it was made by them either. LA would have used their full company name on the bag, and it's not what I'd ever think of as a Laura Ashley-type style. There are a lot of Laura Ashley bags listed on Ebay UK so it seems that they were probably made and sold almost exclusively in Britain, and they're all clearly marked inside as "Laura Ashley", NOT "Laura USA"..

Please take a look at this swingpack I found at GW yesterday. It has no creed patch or any Coach markings at all, other than the Made in India tag. It's really well made-all Coach quality materials. Except the plastic zipper...

I searched both Google and eBay, and found one bag just like it, new with tags, but it looks as if it's the same bag in the few photos I found. Link to the current auction below.

Not fake.

It's a soho leather swingpack and as stated in the listing you referenced, it's style 42137.

What's wrong with plastic - actually NYLON - zippers? Coach has been using them since at least 1990. At least 50 percent of Coaches have at least one nylon zipper. I don't see any problems with it.

Wow! You ladies are fast this morning! I knew that some swingpacks didn't have creeds, and thought I recognized the quality and details. I waffled a little though, when I could only find one other bag like it, in the same colors.


The nylon zippers are just a preference thing. I don't mind them at all on the interior, just like the pretty metal ones on the exterior. This one is almost hidden though, so I can see why it was used here.

The Coaches are authentic.

I'm not an LV expert but I can state with 100% certainty that this is fake. The "date code-serial number" is a common set of mean-nothing numbers seen on fakes.
