Comments: This is a lovely little bag, I hope it is okay. The creed is stamped on gold pebbled leather which refuses to become readable for photos. Creed says made in VietNam and the serial number is B1259-F19260.

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me! I have two bags I am looking at. they seem to be the same style but have different accents like different strap, and clasps! I am not sure if one is real and one is fake? They were made in different time? One does not have the original stuff to it? Please help! One is from eBay

Measurements: 6 1/4" wide 4" tall strap drop 6 3/4"

Comments: The little black tag says made in India???? The top stitching is beautiful and the smooth leather trim and the tiny little Coach tag seem perfect. Provided this may be genuine, is there a good link any might know on how to clean this suede well? I have gently brushed it but it doesn't seem to get the dirt out. I'm not a rehabber, though I did try to search. I am scared to get it wet.

They are both Chadwick satchels #9928 from the early 90s. Both bags look authentic. The strap on Poshmark doesn't look like it was made by Coach. In my catalog picture of this bag, it looks like the original strap had a dogleash clip and wasn't adjustable. The adjustable strap with the lobster clips shown in the ebay listing probably didn't come with the bag originally but it is an authentic Coach strap. At that time, Coach sold straps separately and also let buyers substitute different straps when they purchased an item, so that might be why the strap is different. It is actually a nicer strap than the original.

It looks authentic. You can wash it. Several people have cleaned suede in the rehab thread. A fingernail brush works great on suede.

It's authentic. It's from the Peyton collection from around 2010. I think it is considered to be a large wristlet.

I'm just curious what makes it look like the strap on Poshmark not made by coach? That one has a dog leash clasp and is non adjustable?? And the other strap is fine? Plmk! Thank you so much!!!

It has several grooves on the metal part and the loop where the leather attaches looks too short. If you have a Coach strap with dogleash clips, you can compare it and see the differences. You can see what a Coach strap looks like in the second picture in this listing:

ETA: I just noticed that the poshmark strap has metal rivets. Vintage Coach straps are sewn, not riveted.

This one looks fine too. The date of manufacture is in the creed: B stands for February, 12 is the year 2012.
