That's okay. I have pictures of 9170. That's the classic pouch. It's bigger than this one. I'm thinking of one that looks like a small version of the classic pouch.
Obenauf's does need a lot of buffing. I find a micro-fibre cloth works better than a brush. Black Rock is great to finish off with and again will feel tacky if the bag has been over-conditioned, but it will also dry out after a day or two. Humidity also affects tackiness and the type and dryness of leather. I find both Leather Therapy and BR make Lightweights leather very tacky so I apply less than usual and wait longer for it to be absorbed.
Whateve, I don't think we've found a name for the one without a turnlock yet. But it's late and my memory is starting to shut down for the night.
BB, I noticed that too. Even Coach can't come up with a consistent way to measure their products.

I found this bag at an estate sale and the closest look alike I can find is the hampton patchwork # 10456, but this one is bigger at 11 1/2" W X 10" H and 1" deep
and it has # 10447 as shown, could this be the bigger sister to the 10456?

As you know, we can't authenticate without seeing actual pictures of the bag. An I month code was sometimes used by mistake (I even have a 2012 bag with this mistake, so they are still doing it!) The U factory code is correct for Hungary.

That bag is authentic but the style as well as other similar ones can be well faked so it's a good idea to ask first.
You're welcome. Briefcases aren't my specialty; I'll wait for someone else who knows more. This might be one of those styles where they changed the design slightly for the later versions.
That is what I think too. I found the almost exact same one but the other had more oval turnlocks and had a 4 (I think) instead of a 7 in the style number! Thank you for looking!
