Item: 😎👉♥♥?Brand new 100% authentic coach phone case

Comments: I thought that authentic Coach items always have a SKU beginning with 886382, but I have been seeing quite a few items online with a SKU beginning with 885135... such as this. Did I miss something? Am I assuming pieces are fake when they could be authentic?
I also cannot tell if there is a pucker or a wrinkle in the third picture... ? This seller has more than one phone case NWT - red flag - but some seem to be authentic, such as the peony listed in the same closet https://poshmark.com/listing/100-authentic-coach-phone-case-53ebbe6c0fb6cd19bd0cba5e ?? The prices are not too low to be clearanced items from a factory store, in my opinion. But I am no expert... I defer to you... :)

Not confirming nor denying the authenticity, but both of your links are to potential factory store items. (Both tags say MFSRP, which is what's listed on the factory tags.) They can have some really insane sales like one time I made it to the one close to us, everything on clearance in the store was half off the marked price. (Not going to lie, I was tempted to get stuff just to flip it on eBay since they had the last of a lot of things including a really cute wristlet I bought for myself.) Wouldn't surprise me if they are confirmed to be real, that somebody is doing just that.

The electronics case in the pictures is authentic.

I know they have great sales, so I thought the same thing... But that 885135 SKU bothers me. Maybe they've started using it on some items.

Does this appear to be authentic?

I am curious about this one also. Again, I am too suspicious sometimes, and I am unfamiliar with this bag. But it seems odd that there are so many detailed pictures, yet not one closeup of the creed. Maybe it is just the angle, but where you can see the shape of the creed it seems too wide or not tall enough. I also see that this seller doesn't have a large percentage of negative feedback, but there are a couple of complaints about fake items (clothing).

Good point! I just asked the seller for a close-up of the creed. I can't believe I forgot to do that.

We do like to see pictures of the creeds in listings but it's not necessarily questionable or the fact that a seller is hiding something when they don't show creeds.

Although reddoorfashionoutlet sells enough Coach that you'd think she'd know the importance of showing important details, it's not the case that sellers are aware.

Sometimes sellers think serial numbers hold some top-secret information about the bag and disclosing the number or pictures of it will allow counterfeiters to copy the bag. Believe me! The counterfeiters don't need a seller's pictures to make "good" copies.

Other times, resellers might buy more than one of the same style bag but they might have different prefixes (first 1/2 of serial number) and rather than having to take pictures of each bag, they just do one set of photos and recycle the pictures. In cases of NWT items, using the same set of photos usually isn't a problem.

In this case, I can see enough details of the bag and the creed that I feel confident that the bag is fine, but I also know what to look for.

Ebay allows sellers to post 12 pictures of their item in each listing. I don't understand why sellers don' take advantage of this freebie!

Thank you! My sense is that if she is able to send a photo of the creed and it looks okay, that it is probably okay, but it's always super helpful to get other opinions. I'll post a photo of the creed if I get it. If the seller doesn't send it, I think that could be a red flag.

Thank you. I am trying to learn more every day. I just joined this forum today so I could post, but I've been reading it for a while. I have learned a lot from you and Hyacinth. Thanks again.

I'm sure it is fake but I don't know if ebay will remove an item just for having a J8Y prefix. I've seen quite a few listings with that prefix but usually I can't find any other proof in the pictures provided.
Thanks Whateve. Is the style number correct? I bought the 9170 from this seller and she told me about these so I'm not sure if I should tell her it's a suspected fake.

Coach has used MANY different SKUs, depending on when the item was made and for what department. Don't ever base conclusions on a narrow range of examples.

Well apparently they do remove items for having a J8Y prefix. It seems to be gone. If I remember correctly, it did have the right style number.
