I can comment on this one.

It's fake as L4C-9956 is an invalid serial number, never used by Coach.

From that ^^^ link:

L4C-9956 or any style ending in -9956 - every one so far has been fake. The L4C- prefix usually appears in fake Signature fabric bags and so far -9956 has never been seen in a genuine bag.
Thank you - I thought it was fake because of the turn lock hardware and also the really sloppy interior.
Thanks for the info about the invalid serial and style numbers!

Here's another bag, again the creed is very worn and shallow so difficult to read.

I'm not comfortable with that one. Not only do we really need to see the creed details to authenticate, but the fixed straps on older and vintage coaches shouldn't have rivets. We also usually need measurements too but in this case they probably wouldn't help.

The only style I can find that's close to it, depending on the measurements, is a mid to late 1980s Compact Pouch that measured about 7x7 but the descriptions don't mention an under-flap pocket and it's supposed to have a tubular strap. Even if the strap was replaced the pocket is still a problem. And without being able to see the entire creed it's impossible to narrow down the age of the bag other than sometime between 1980 to 1993. Maybe you can try the Eyeshadow Trick and see if the creed and serial number get any clearer?

Maybe it's genuine and the strap was repaired or replaced by someplace other than Coach but I'd have to call it Questionable at least.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
From GW today...double sided hangtag likely a replacment.
Approx. 10.5”w x7”h x 4”d strap drop 25”
I have no idea what this is...but hardware is similar to a Fulton bag I have...and the strap gets skinnier to the shoulder.
Any and all info is much appreciated...thanks in advance!

It's an authentic Becket zip #9920 from the early 90s.

Looks like a Becket Zip, style 9920 from 1993. I think you and Coach aren't measuring it the same way.

Cute little bag! Measures 7" x 6.5" x 2.5"
I'm very curious about the turnlock. I got one of these before I knew much about Coach. Mine was made in the same factory a month before but has silver hardware. The turnlock is totally different from yours, and both are different from standard Coach turnlocks. Actually at the time these were made, I thought that Coach almost always put silver hardware with camel leather.

Thanks Hyacinth! Great idea with the eyeshadow.
Should I use a light color ?

It almost makes me think that the Costa Rica factory was using any hardware they had on hand, since neither your bag nor mine has the standard turn lock..lol.
