Not just the creed is bad, in the gallery picture it looks like the Carriage emblem on the front is really crooked too. And a closeup of that emblem shows that it wasn't made by Coach, the shape, details, colors and stitching are all wrong.

The creed is a complete piece of garbage, there isn't ANYTHING right about it including the date code, plant code, stitching, Coach logo, uneven stamping, and last but not least, "enOuring" is spelled with an O instead of a D. Oh, AND the style number!

As for the rest of that piece of junk, I don;t remember that style ever having a zippered pocket on the back, the hardware is thin and cheap, the top of the bag actually looks uneven which could be why the Carriage emblem looks so crooked, and the strap is REALLY badly made, wavy, and those clips aren't the kind used by Coach.

TOTAL TRASH - please report it ASAP.

I've never seen it on newer bags, just vintage. Usually there was something minor off about it, so quality control caught it. If you bought a bag with the stamp, you probably didn't have the same warranty that came with most Coach bags. I don't think it affects the value in the resale market. Some people might like a bag having the stamp.

I've seen newer bags that should have had the stamp but it seems like today the quality control people are slackers!

On the 1997 website, those were the colors listed. I've gotten several bags that came in colors that weren't listed in the ads I've seen. This looks like chocolate. On this site, they list all the colors(maybe): http://www.ebay.com/gds/Coach-Sonom...-Leather-Nubuc-Bags-/10000000001593405/g.html

I've got two green nubuc Sonomas but I've never seen a color chart that lists ivy as a nubuc color.
