Here's one with the same serial, same font, same spacing and also made in Costa Rica:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SLEEK-Smoot...769?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3a84d31f39

and another from the same seller:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rugged-Look...644?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item35cb93a164

I wish this listing showed the creed. It's supposedly from a month later from the same plant.

Thanks so much! That seems like proof that T was used for Costa Rica in 1999.

Hello! This is my first time ever posting in this thread, so please correct me if I'm not posting the correct information.

My friend and I popped into my favorite secondhand shop, and found this lovely. When I did a drilldown, she appears to be a Coach Tribeca Flap Messenger.

She's in lovely condition, and had a Coach price tag on her, so it leads me to believe she's one of those reproduced Coach Classics bags.

I don't know much if anything about this model, and I was hoping that one of you pros can authenticate her and then maybe provide a bit of her history? Thank you, my dears!

OK I do have some more bags without the letter prefix. These are really old!

Item: Coach Shoulder Bag
Listing number: N/A
Seller: I own
Link:

Measuements: 9 3/4" Length 7 " height 3" width 17" strap drop

Creed number is: No 004-0028 Made in New York City, U.S.A.

Comments: This is the largest of these really old ones. I really like the snap hooks on this bag.

I'm pretty confident that it is authentic, but have no idea how old or the style name.

It looks like a Convertible Clutch, style number 9635, probably from the mid-1980s

2nd oldie. This one is a tiny little crossbody style.

Item: Coach Shoulder Bag
Listing number: N/A
Seller: I own
Link:

Measurements: 8" length 5 1/4" tall 1 3/4" wide strap drop 19"pp

Again no clue about style or age. This little purse has been used and abused! (not by me - LOVE my purses)

I'm not sure what you mean by a reproduced Coach classic? There was only one version of the Tribeca Flap made, and this is it. It's from 1998, and a picture of the Coach price tag would have told us if it's the original tag that came with the bag. The style was only made for about 1 or 2 years around 1998. Coach's late 1998 catalog page is below.

We need to see a view of the side of the bag to see how the strap is attached, and also to see or know where the pockets are - pictures of the inside pocket to show whether it's opened or zipped and a picture of the pocket under the front flap if there is one would be a big help. On vintage bags those details are always important in identifying the style.

Thanks!

Looks like a Basic Bag, style 9455 from the early or mid-1980s

Oh! What I mean is that Coach came out with that Classics line and were once again selling bags like the Rambler and the Stewardess and since I'm not up on what you would call that I thought it was a rehashing of older classic bags. I'm bad with descriptions.

But here's the tag.

This one has a brass toggle on a flap closure. Really cute little purse. This one has the creed stamped inside the front pocket. The main part of the purse is just the raw suede leather.
