Post them right here. Just a picture of each creed and serial number, and a pic of the entire length of the top of the inside pocket and pocket zipper on the Patricia's.

It's strange that her other listings for multiple Coaches seem to include genuine bags from the few pics she shows. I wonder how so many fakes ended up in the same listing? Dang-nabbit, ain't I a suspicious little wench? :graucho:
Here are the photos of the fakes. The red "Patricia's Legacy" looks unassuming from far away, but when you get close it's so obvious. It is also SUPER heavy compared to the real thing - this red atrocity weighs in at almost 3 pounds. The "station" and "willis" both have creeds that are too far up... among other things> I used to think that since I bought and sold 'old' styles I was less likely to buy a fake on accident. Obviously y'all mean what you say when you remind us to always ask for creed photos. Live and learn. l]

Comments: The item has ended, but I'm not sure if this ATC thread prohibits ended items. I looked on post #1 of this thread and couldn't find it in the rules that the listing had to be live. If there is another third party service that you recommend if in fact the listing needs to be live for it to be authenticated, please advise as I'm happy to go there. I did an item number search though and did not see previous comment on this piece. Thank you!
Other comments: is it normal for there to be tissue paper wrapped around the zippers and such like that?

Would someone please be able and have a moment to authenticate this "vintage' messenger flap bag? sold by The Creek Boutique on Etsy

Thank you in advance!

I am sorry if someone has tried to look at this listing; it was reserved for me and now it will not show up on the site. However, she did send me photo of the creed, close up; would anyone care to give their opinion of the creed? Does the fact that it is not fully imprinted necessarily mean the bag is not authentic? The bag sure looked like it and the person said she only deals in authentic bags.

Thank you in advance!

I do not see a problem with it. When Coach ships bags to their stores, they usually come with the hardware wrapped. I would assume the same thing if someone buys something from the official online outlet.

Thank you so much!
The bag came with tissue paper wrapped around the zipper pulls and fixtures so I was a little bit concerned.

I appreciate your expertise very much!

Hi everyone, hope your weekend was nice. These are my finds & just wanted to be positive that they are genuine. Please, why do the first two bags have an "H" in the prefix if they were made in the USA?

This one measures 11" tall by just about the same wide, and 4.25" deep. Drop is 19" in the middle holes:

2nd one measures 9" tall x about 11 wide x 4.5 deep with a 17" drop on the second hole from the top:

#3 measures 8" tall x 11" wide x 4" deep with a 23" drop on the last setting:

The last two photos are to follow....
I don't feel comfortable with the red bag. Every authentic H plant I've seen doesn't have that alignment or font. The font on yours looks exactly like a fake J9H creed I have in my files. On the divided pocket, the narrow pen slots look too wide, and the pocket with the creed is too narrow. Each pen pocket should be about 1 1/2 inches wide, leaving about 5 1/2 inches for the remaining pocket. I'd like to see the ends of the pocket zipper, and the zipper pull on the top of the bag.

That's actually exactly what the seller offered :) She feels terrible

Yes, you're right. Those are all obvious fakes.

Are you saying she gave you a full refund and let you keep the authentic ones? I hope so!

I agree that it looks okay. (Note that the first picture is a stock photo, something the seller shouldn't be using.)

Some of the AT subforums are pickier than others as to whether they'll authenticate completed listings, private sales or non-ebay purchases. It's up to the authenticators what they choose to do and with Coach, we're pretty flexible.

Please help me authenticate these - also not sure which to choose between the 2 as they are the same - are there any noticeable flaws?

TIA :smile1:
They both look fine, both are NWT and both have similar prices (within $5) and free shipping.

It's up to you to decide which seller you want to buy from and if one has feedback or other problems that might concern you. IMO, it's a tossup.

There don't seem to be any problems with the creed, but you're welcome to post photos of the rest of the bag when you get it.

These show again why creed photos are so important, especially when we can't feel or physically examine a bag we're trying to authenticate. But each of those 3 fakes has major problems with the creed that just one photo would have exposed.

The Pat's Legacy has a plant code "E" that was only used for the Italy plant, but the creed says it was made in the US.

The Willis not only has a serial in a 3+4 format that would have been several years too early to have been used in any genuine Willis, but the 012-3445 serial is on Part One of my Fakes List - the font is also too thick:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-72.html#post26447774

The white Station Bag shows a style number of -4154 but a genuine one would have used -5130. My Fakes List in the "always fake" section also says "M4N-4154 - Anything starting with M4N- is suspect and should be authenticated by an expert", and that number has been used in many fakes already. So far I haven't found a valid M4N- prefix that would show Coach actually made bags in the plant, month and year indicated by those codes. And if you look closely you'll see the word "scrtches" is missing the letter "a", another problem we've seen in dozens of fakes.

No matter how much experience someone has buying or selling Coaches, just being familiar with them won't help you spot all or even most of the fakes. The creed and serial number details are the most important and dependable tools but you need a lot of photos and information on real and fake ones to make valid comparisons. And sometimes, like Whateve pointed out when answering another authenticity question that I wasn't sure about:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-855067-373.html#post27125055
you need a genuine version of the style for comparison.

So if a listing doesn't have actual READABLE photos of the creed and serial number and the seller won't or can't supply them, hit the Back button.
