Is this a drawstring sac from the (late) '80s? Authentic? (I hope)

If authentic does it look rehabable?

Item. Coach vintage drawstring shoulder bag tan.

No. 281271934301

That's what it looks like, style 4015 from around 1988-1990. I'll have to leave the rehab questions to the experts. It's from the Lightweight line and that leather might be a bit trickier to rehab.

Thank you again!! This is the style bag in the coach store window I used to drool over. This one seems to be a bit of a mess. I hope I can save it!! I'll look into that tomorrow.

No, the "outlet" is Coach's factory outlet stores. Boutique style is a full priced bag sold at (mall) Coach stores and department stores like Macy's, Bloomingdales, etc.

Coach bags that go to Marshalls, TJ's, Nordstrom Rack and the like have an "X" stamp, meaning that they're ineligible for warranty and can't be returned to a Coach store.

Thanks for the clarification! Odd though-- I have a bag that my mother bought at Marshall's or TJs in the late 90's and it has a bullseye!

It's possible that in the 90's they bulleted the creeds and didn't do the X at that time. (I'm not sure.)

In the more recent past, I think I may have seen Coaches with both bullets and X in the discounters.

IMO I think rehabbing would be tough. If you can find out what the dark marks it might help but if its patina or the colour had worn off you'd probably have to re-dye or paint. I've seen lots of mention and some great examples on this thread of a product called Wood'n'Stuff but I can't get it here.

I haven't had much success rehabbing Lightweights. The leather is so soft but they tended to stain and fade. IMO you would have to dye it in order to remove all those stains but I would be afraid to use anything that would ruin the wonderful soft texture.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach accessory?
From Goodwill yesterday.
Approx. 1.25”w X 3.5”h X .5”d Strap 14” to clip
There's one on ebay called an iPod Shuffle Case #4570...is this correct?
Also claims original MSRP was $68...does that sound about right?
Any info is always appreciated...thanks in advance!

I think I'm the only person in the world who still has an iPod shuffle!

Thank you Whateve and two.time.bags. If you have doubts about this it's a safe bet this is a no go. I'm sure another will come along.

I have two of the second generation types - the little square ones. I have speakers for them and play them in the bathroom. They are also so much more convenient than my ipod classic when I want to do yard work since you can clip them to your clothing. I don't think anyone buys an ipod classic anymore either.

You're welcome. Others have had more luck with Lightweights. You might want to check on the rehab thread.
