Hi everyone, this is my first post. First, though, I want to tell you how much I appreciate all the informative posts I've been reading on here!

I've never heard of a 7122 bag, or seen this type of hardware. Also the zipper pull looks different from all my other bags (admittedly those are all late 90's).

I'm dying to find a classic (unlined) tote bag with a wide base like this, though. If this is a fake (is it?) could you recommend any other tote bag styles with a wide base?
Thanks so much for your help! :)

Comments: This new eBay seller has a lot of new in box wallets and accessories. I was interested in this one, but I also thought the amount of perfect old stock was unusual.

While this is often a red flag, I don't see any problem with the seller's items. I'd love to know where she found this jackpot!

You never found it because 7122 isn't the style number. Please read the Salearea Coach Guides especially the ones on creeds and on serial numbers for more information.
http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/salearea?uqt=g

It was called a Buckle Bag and the style number was 9889, made around 1990-92.

The best way to find a tote that fits your needs is to just keep looking.

Hi Hyacinth

I requested more close-up pics from the seller and there are few white spots on the surface.
I searched the care methods for the vintage coach bag by using the saddle soap, however I am not sure whether it can get rid of those spots or not. You must have tons of experience in this, do you think those spots can be cleaned easily? And Can the wear on the connection of handle with the purse, and the straps been cared (or recovered ) by leather treatment or wax?
Thanks very much!

The best place to ask is at the Rehab and Rescue thread at the main Coach forum under "Coach Clubhouse". I personally do very little rehab since I'm basically lazy and would rather buy bags that just might need a clean-up and conditioning. I'm too old for challenges. :D

But I personally don't recomment saddle soap especially on texrtured leather. Getting the residue out of all those little dips and creases is impossible.

Thank you so much Hyacinth. You are always so helpful~~~Sorry about post the question here, I will watch for that in future~~~

I was wondering about these two bags that I recently purchased,

(1) a British Tan Station bag and
(2) a Red Willis bag.

Pictures of both attached. They are labelled made in Costa Rica and the leather feels different than my United States bags.

Thanks very much for any help!
