It does look like a Compact Pouch, 9620. I'm not sure if the double strap originally came with the bag though, all my catalogs show just a single tubular strap. It may have been replaced with one from a different Coach, or from Coach's parts bin.

Thanks for the feedback Hyacinth and JOODLZ There may be some evidence here that the double strap with tiny clips is the original since it appears to be consistent on both early Pouches - But since it's a very small sampling pool and there is no supporting catalog info, I guess we don't really know for sure. Either way - Glad it seems the body of the bag is genuine!

From the measurements it's probably a Slim Clutch Standard, style 9560, from the late 70s or early 80s. Coach's 1981 catalog showed both sizes:

sorry for screwing up the post. I reported it before the listing ended but it still sold for $71.00 and there were 34 bids. It was Large Nice Summer Coach Purse e bay number 161321702610. I don't see it on her sold list so hopefully the transaction was stopped. Serial No - 12550 should have stopped even a new bidder dead in their tracks. I did not even realize that they were selling so many other fakes yikes!

It always gobsmacks me that so many people bid on such incredibly bad pieces of JUNK, but genuine Coaches can sit for weeks or months with no bids. Sometimes I think that anyone who would think these obvious fakes are worth spending their money on DESERVES to end up with a POS. :censor:

Hi - Just wanted to say that the reason that item is NOT showing up in her SOLD LISTINGS is because it takes a while for those to be updated. If you sell something on June 6, like this person did, it will not show up in sold listings usually for about 24 hours or more.
It has not been removed by ebay because if you enter the auction number you will still see it. Once ebay removes it you won't be able to see the listing,

So PLEASE EVERYONE< and I mean EVERYONE report ALL of these garbage bags, past and present.
It is a downright SIN that this seller can have so many active and sold listings for fake Coaches and
is STILL SELLING THEM!!!
Ebay should be ashamed of themselves ~ good sellers get dinged with one mistake and get limited or
completely blocked from selling the brand, and this POS continues??
