I noticed that lemon Haley had brass feet. Recently a coworker mentioned she was told when purchasing a bag. that authentic coach bags don't have brass feet. I think she purchased at Macy's. Comments?

It could be the lighting that makes the hardware appear to be brass. (On my monitor, the feet look silver in the pictures.)

According to the tag, SV indicates that the hardware is silver:

Sorry, I should've phrased differently. I should have said: my coworker was told that authentic coach bags aren't made with metal feet (in general)...true or not? The picture in the posting got me thinking about it.

False.

Depending on the style, some bags are made with feet.

Just as 99% of the online "authenticity" guides are useless, the same applies to many self-appointed "experts."

COMPLETELY false. Coach bags have had metal feet on some of their styles almost since the beginning. Tell your co-worker not to listen to ANYTHING that person is telling her about Coach because she's totally misinformed and frankly, doesn't know diddly-squat..

And I'm trying to imagine what the feet would be if they weren't metal. Does the co-worker's "expert" friend think they're made out of plastic?

Come to think of it. The sales person said the reason there are no feet is because bags weren't meant to be put on the floor. I think I'll text her now.

Oh it wasn't a friend of hers. I believe it was a macys employee. They got into a discussion about feet while she was buying a bag.
