OK, hit another thrift store today and made some more finds... going to post pictures in a bit, but first.... a quick question.... has Coach ever been made in India??
I think smaller accessories (wallets, wristlets and maybe swingpacks) have been made in India.
OK first one, a.. uh... small coin purse?

Suede:
Authentic soho framed suede wristlet. Sorry but I don't have a style number.

Awesome! Thank you so much! So many great finds the last couple of weeks, now to pick up some Leather CPR, and get to work on my projects, and stay OUT of the thrift stores!

Yes, I've figured out the thrift stores in Hawaii are one more thing I'm going to miss when we move from here. I figure I find so many good purses here, because I live in the "rich woman's paradise" and they can just afford to throw them away. LOL Good.... more for ME

LOL...The demographic in my area seems to be "rich OLD woman's paradise"...I'm seeing a lot more vintage bags...in much better, well-cared-for condition then ever before. I have a feeling many of the older bags go un-recognized by younger folks cleaning out grandma's closet!

I've run out of exclamations for your bags!

Aaawww...thanks!

For me, rehabbing is the hobby, collecting is the obsession or addiction.

AMEN!

The vintage ones I have been coming across were with the other bags (the ones NOT up front, or easily recognizable as Coach) so I'm glad I went digging through the other purses at the back. I had a feeling I would come across some good finds today. I'm on a buying hiatus though, until I get these bags restored. I'm going out to the Bed, Bath and Beyond tomorrow to pick up some Leather CPR and then I will start the process, and I'm going to do one bag at a time to really learn and enjoy the process. I can't wait to get started!

Hiya,

I came across a purse on Kijiji (the one I tried to buy before but missed out on) I think I'm going to buy it for my mom as she really liked the pictures I showed her.

The creed is very difficult to read, but I'm pretty sure it's L1077 - F14682.

Here is the listing: AD ID 577857759

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-clothing-womens-bags-wallets-Coach-White-Tan-Leather-Bag-originally-398-00-W0QQAdIdZ577857759

I've been looking online and found similar bags but their Serial Number is F14686? I'm assuming that this is a slightly different style?

The closest I've found online is this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Pebbled-Leather-Ivory-Penelope-Shoulder-Tote-handbag/231194229469?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.RVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D21022%26meid%3D6016350983779436485%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D9336%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D181370839080

But the Factory? Code is different, it's K1077. Am I correct in assuming that they make the same style purses in different factories in the same year? or do the letters in the first sequence of numbers mean something else?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. I have another purse that I'm interested in I'll post it in another post.
