Can someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
I almost fainted at Goodwill a little while ago...this was in the general handbag department, NOT behind the glass case...OOPSY!
Approx. 6w x 8h x 4d strap drop 17.75
Does this have a style number, or is it just too old? Does it have a "real name"? And can someone guess her age?

OMG! So Jealous! How much? Didn't you find another one awhile ago at Goodwill too? I've never been able to find out style numbers or official names for these Bonnie Cashin era bags. The bag is from the 60s. I have no idea if the black lining came before or after the striped.

It looks like an authentic binocular bag 9853 from the early 90s. The seller doesn't have it closed properly. Most sellers do it wrong. The front flap closes toward the back and the back flap flips over the top of it.
Your Goodwill is crazy! The pricer probably thought it was fake. If your red one doesn't have a creed, I think it would be earlier than the late 70s since as far as we know, Coach started using creeds in the mid 70s.Please sit down...drum roll please...$19.99!

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that they think if a Coach isn't made in China (or doesn't have a creeed) it's fake
I never really knew when the creeds started...yay, the red one's even older...Thanks! I didn't mention the tag is "Coach Leatherware" and chain is stamped "BEAD CHAIN"! Happy Weekend to us all!
I really don't know for sure. I think it was designed as a handbag that looked like a binocular bag.I hope this isn't a stupid question, but was the binocular bag designed as a hand bag or as a utility bag for binoculars?
