We can't feel it, all we can go by are photos. We need to see a copy of the listing and a link to the seller's Current listings page, and whatever other URLs you can post. Also, measurements would help.

Sorry..I got called away before posting the listing but I see it has turned up anyway. The color is actually not red but more 'geranium' pinkish red. The leather does not have the thickness or suppleness I have found in the older bags..more the thin 'card board' feel of some of the re-issues.
The piping looks sloppy and the chain zipper pull looks & feels like tin.
I certainly don't expect anybody to get a 'feel' via internet. I just wanted an eyeball put on it for a visual impression. The measurements approx. 7 H.-8W & 4 deep.

The color should be a pretty much a true red, but if the leather gets dry it can appear more of a coral or orange color. The thinness of the leather could also be due to dryness. If the owner just left it sitting in a box for years without conditioning it, this could happen. Without seeing it in person, I really can't tell if that is the case. I've seen zipper pulls that look like that on authentic bags. The stitching is a little sloppy but that, in itself, isn't enough to prove it's fake. The measurements are correct for the style number on the box.

Thanks Whateve that certainly would be a big factor. I really didn't pay attention to the box as it might or might not have been the original. I will do some rehab now. Very relieved!:) thanks to all.

You're welcome! I should have pointed out that it was the correct box for the bag in the beginning.

HI Ladies! Anyone want to point me to a BALLY of Switzerland expert..I just received a fake bag..made in USA..prob China..nasty ebay seller doesnt believe TPF is a genuine authenticator..Bally bags have been manufactured presently & in the past ONLY in ITALY & SWITZERLAND, although Customer service tells me they are producing shoes in CHINA(of course)..I also wonder why Bally is so underrated in the USA??..but thats for another thread! They make amazing leather products..Ebay resolution will take care of it, but the seller has sold a bunch of GUCCI's.I worry..when a seller gets insanely defensive~they are usually guilty..me?I will refund anyone for anything,if they aren't happy..plus pay the return ship..its good business..sorry, but I can't find Bally of Switzerland..a point needs to be proved..Thanks again!! Sorry we couldn't answer your question at the Ebay board, but posters get "pink-slapped" - have their posts removed by a Mod and get a strike against them - for breaking the Rulez. And three strikes in a day and "yeeeeee'r OUT !!!"
