It's authentic but it's very small. It's not really a purse unless used as such by a 3-year old.

It's about 5" wide by 3" high.

It's not a "purse" in any sense, it's just large enough to hold maybe a set of keys, an ID or some coins, but the strap would barely fit over someone's wrist. I use mine to hang from my purse strap and hold my mini garage door opener, it's not quite big enough to fit the larger opener that clips onto the visor.. It's not a wristlet either although the seller describes it that way. They won't even hold a very small basic cell phone.

Ohhh, okay thanks a bunch! It's adorable, but probably won't be that useful to me then.

I'm not comfortable with that one either, but Station Bags are easy to fake. The big red flag other than the serial prefix is that the top of the leather turnlock tab almost looks puffed or padded and it should be flat. I don't know if that's just from the edge of the flap but I haven't seen that on a Station Bag before and that would bother me a lot. The shape of the leather tab and size of the turnlock are just a tiny bit "off" too.

And I don't like how the edges of the creed are chopped off in the photo.
Thanks, Hyacinth.

You're welcome.

This is the one I have. I don't remember where I got it, but it might have been on tpf. I don't have any other pictures of the bag.
Here's a listing with the same serial number.

Item: COACH HAMPTONS WEEKEND SIGNATURE STRIPE SWINGPACK SILVER/KHAKI/MULTICOLOR

Listing number: 251430348786

Seller: jlk5438

Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251430348786

Comments: I believe this is authentic but have never seen it before. I emailed the seller asking for the style number, she told me it's 47442. I searched that number and found lots of photos of the bag but can't confirm the name or what year it's from.

Thanks ladies, as always, I do appreciate your time!

The first picture is a Coach stock picture and the other pictures aren't definitive enough to authenticate. Please request pictures of the interior and if there's a creed, a picture of it.

Interesting - there's a very similkar one in Current listings:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VERY-RARE-H...pt=US_Women_s_Accessories&hash=item3a89f73024

It's a valid style, so it looks like there actually was a Y plant. But in China, not the US, and not in 1998.

ETA - SNIPED by BB! Here's Coach's drilldown pic:

Yep, and the matching tote is definitely genuine too, same Y plant code:

Interesting. The plant must only been used for a short time, or they changed its designation. Maybe they decided to go to all numerical plant codes around that time.
