I searched for 4914, it should be a double zip bag with a shoulder strap, not a backpack...
So this must a fake then?

I don't have a catalog from that time and it isn't on the wayback machine. Someone else might. There was a lime green, sea, and aqua, but I think the aqua was only available in nubuck, so it is probably sea.

Hi. Here are my first two purchases for 2014, both reflecting my current suede obsession and my love of satchels. Your views on their authenticity will be hugely appreciated as always.

Item: suede patchwork Hampton satchel
Item no: 221343551714
Seller: bird404
Link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COACH-HA...2FC34Ta4f4P3fWFqShEyA%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Comment: I have confirmed that the hangtag is present and have also requested a pic of the creed. I thought it was unlikely that this one would be faked or am I being naive?

Item: suede tartan satchel with wristlet
Item no: 121243164665
Seller: majestical10
Link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COACH-Su...2FC34Ta4f4P3fWFqShEyA%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Comment: absolutely love this one. Must be the Celt in me!

ETA Continuing the chat about GPS that we were (rightly) moderated on in the finds thread, I was able to convince both these sellers to ship outside of the GPS so shipping cost $30 instead of $50! I would much rather bid more for the item than pay it on postage so win-win for the seller and for me.

As I said before, the style number in the backpack isn't the correct style number for the bag. As you've discovered, that style number belongs to a double zip. There is a slim chance that the factory could have made a mistake but without documentation to prove that, we have to assume it isn't authentic. I don't see anything else wrong with the backpack other than the style number.

Sigh, why the hell are there so many fakes! Thanks so much whateve, as always!

Both are authentic.

You're in summer now, right?

We're currently at about 0 degrees (Fahrenheit) with a wind-chill of -15! And we just got about 18" of snow. I'll trade places with you!
I've seen the news! We're Good here today only 22C but its 41C in Brisbane which is unheard of. Was 38 C here and 50C in the north of SA on News Years Day. The weather is crazy everywhere! Make of it what you will.
