Absolutely! Those are the best kinds of quizzes!

Hey, I still go back once a month and read over those guides again, it helps me keep everything straight in my head. Or try to, anyway. :D
I've already read the one about the "Made In Italy" bags, since it turns out that the bag I bought in Las Vegas 15 years ago is one of the Italian ones. So fascinating to learn more about it!

I always knew that there was a contrasting piece of leather on the bottom of the bag (that's one of the reasons I bought the bag) but I didn't know enough about leather at the time to realize that the majority of the bag was calfskin, and the contrasting bit was pigskin. Ain't education a great thing?

I'm seeing a questionable prefix J8H- with a squared stamping impression after the style number that shouldn't be there. I don't have any saved pics of any genuine examples of that style and have never owned one so if you want to point out what other problems you're seeing, that's ok with me. The seller's photos are a mess. :smile1:

The prefix and square line. ..and. .. The cartouche, the seam above the zipper and the flap shape are wrong.

Well you help report please? !

I have one of the Bridle bags too, the styling is so classically Italian - I love it. :tender:

Long-time lurker here.

Could someone please authenticate this thrift store find for me? I have pictures of the creed, front, back, front pocket and main bag. The creed is stamped on a inner pocket flap that can be pulled out. Thanks to all the experts here! I've read many pages of this thread as well as Hyacinth's guides and passed on thrift store bags that I knew were fake as a result of what I've learned!

It's a genuine International Travel Bag, style number 511, from around 1991.

Funny story...so I threw this to the bottom of my closet thinking it was fake because it doesn't have a serial number (I bought it at a thrift store a couple of years ago) but now I'm thinking its a pouch and not a purse. Please help me :smile1:

Name: coach bronze metallic signature pouch

Dear Sir/Ms,
Morning, since there is no Coach retail store around my home town. I place a deposit to order a Coach Mini Tanner in Coral from a seller doing pre-order internet.

The item arrived yesterday, however it looks weird from the photo they sent me, the seller asking me to settle the balance, could you please help me to authenticate the item ?

I am really upset since the seller is claiming the item is authentic.
Your assistance will be very very much appreciated.
Thank You very much in advance.

(Sorry, there is only one photo, but from the photo there is nothing looks right, really want to seek second opinion. Thank You.)

And the bottom.
It's authentic. This is an example of a pouch with a creed but without a serial number.

Sorry, the pictures are so bad that I can't even tell what style it's supposed to be. Maybe someone else can figure it out. The seller really needs to make an effort to take decent photos. There aren't even any measurements. :noggin:

Seller actually states that its fake: "Gently used but not dead genuine Coach leather purse".

Please post a link to the online internet seller. The seller sells fakes and the pre-order is probably because they're dropshipping from a counterfeiter in China.

I don't want to disclose the obvious red flag but the bags are fake. There's something in the picture (on both bags) that Coach never does.

If you paid with a credit card, open a dispute.
