Hyacinth, because of the priceless knowledge I have gained from you, whateve, beenburned and all the others that contribute here, I was NOT bidding.:smile1: I thought it was a fake, but I always like to check here before I report, especially since there was no creed pic. THANK YOU! I'll post in the Hall of Shame as well. Seems like it takes more than one report to get a completed listing removed.

Yes, they used single letters and single numbers until 2006 when all the plant codes were changed to 2-digit numbers. The new codes had no connection to the older ones they replaced.

Coach used a single number for the Turkey plant as early as the later 1990s.

If its confusing for us then I guess its confusing for counterfeiters too who probably don't undertake the same depth of research that you and the other wonderful authenticators here on this Forum do! Thank you.

Please wait for other opinions on this but I believe it's fake. P is the incorrect plant for US and the font of the serial number is the thick one we often see with fakes.

In fact, here's another identical bag with the same thick serial number and plant code (H4P):

I agree it is fake due to the thick font and the invalid plant code. The year is probably too early for that style as well.
