Hi ladies!
I have a bunch of bags I need to authenticate (10). Sorry for the overload but I am doing some rehab work today and don't want to work on fakes!

First two are hippie flaps (Why do they have different style numbers but look the same?)

1.NAVY bag is H0P-9131 Made in Costa Rica
2.BLACK bag is G0D-9135 Made in USA

Both look ok.

Fabulous BeenBurned! I thought it wasn't true due to it's look. It seems to me it has been tossed in someone's closet in the back for a while. The fold in the creed, and it looks funny. But Thank You very much for your time !! :smile1:

Hi Whateve - Thank you so much! I'm slowly catching on to tPF. :)

It's not a Bonnie Cashin. As far as I know, there never was a Bonnie Cashin that looked like this. A real Bonnie Cashin most likely won't have a creed since she left Coach around the time they started using creeds. Coach didn't start using the "Made in the United States" creed with the xxxx-xxx format until around 1989 and this style wasn't introduced until 1991, so 1992 seems about right for this purse. It was definitely made before 1994, when they changed the numbering format.

Many sellers mistakenly use the name Bonnie Cashin in their listings.

It's hard to be completely sure about that one. The J8Y- serial prefix has often been used in fakes, like many J**- prefixes from the mid to late 1990s. In fact there was what seems to be a fake of that same style just sold recently with a J8P- prefix on a Made in the US creed, so it's best to be cautious.

I'd really like to see a better creed photo, showing a flattened creed and serial and with all the stamping visible and well-lit, along with more of the lining and the full length of the zipper and leather trim on the inside pocket above the creed, if possible. Larger and right side up would be good too.
