I've searched eBay and googled forever, and I'm not finding this little bag. Now I'm worried it's a fakie. Please take a look and tell me if it needs to become a tassle. It measures about 8" long x 5 1/2" tall. The creed is stamped behind the slip pocket, there is nothing on the interior. It isn't as unreadable as it appears in this photo, every word is readable. Thanks as always! (Sorry these pix are enormous)

Style number -4145 belongs to a Soho Mini Hobo, and the plant code N probably wasn't used so early in 1994. A photo of the correct style -4145 is below. There are several others of the same style listed under both Current and Completed on Ebay. It looks as if that style wasn't made until around 1997.

Here's a listing for a totally different fake with exactly the same fake serial number, "H4N-4145". The seller describes it as a Thompson Drawstring but the Thompson's style number is actually -4151.

The year code of both fakes indicates 1994 as the year it was made. But any bag with a style number starting with -41** and made in 1994 would have had to be a Soho bag with lightweight leathers and hardware, which yours is not. Everything points to it being fake.

EDITED TO ADD - I did some digging and found the "Intro" page for that style -4145 in Coach's Holiday 1997 catalog. Note that it's listed there as "NEW".

Here's Coach's own website photo of the bag, Signature Metallic Outline Large Hobo. Why would you think it's fake?

I couldn't find out a single thing about it online and I was told it was vintage so I never thought to look on the Coach site, hence why I came here. Not sure how you found it so easily but thank you, obviously I'm doing something wrong :/

It's no longer on the Coach site since it was made about 10 years ago, but I have the photo saved - I saved over a thousand photos before Coach deleted their old archive site.. And it's not really vintage since that means over 20 years old.

Don't ever expect to find every Coach style ever made on Google.

Okie dokie here's another one, been searching on this one for over a month I'm sure ya'all can find it within minutes lol (ya know just when I thought I was Coach savvy lol). Looks like a Boston Travel Bag but have never seen this color/pattern, everything else looks authentic. No creed number but that seems to be common with this type of bag (also to have the creed on the exterior) thanks in advance. ATTACHMENTS

There still should be a full creed and serial number inside the bag. no matter what else is on the outside.

Is this from a current or completed sale or listing somewhere? We need to see that too. My instincts just aren't seeing "genuine" in those details especially the strap construction (they look like they wouldn't last a week), but they've had some really weird stuff on the Factory Outlet site lately. But none of the newer nylon travel duffles have had removeable straps.

oops I meant to say no creed on exterior patch, it looks like to me the interior does have one I just can't make it out. I've requested the serial number from the buyer to no avail, I'd like to purchase elsewhere if I could actually find it (and confirm it's authentic) It is a Poshmark listing -

Thanks Hyacinth. I could only find photos and references to Soho bags, and I found 1 photo like the 1997 bag you showed. There are several other details which made me suspicious, sloppy stitching and finishing on the strap and piping. The leather is nice. We'll see if I can return it. Thanks again for your time!

There's NO serial number at all on the inside patch, and the Coach logo is much too big. I'd bet a pound of Lindt Lindor Truffles that bag is fake - DON'T buy it! Poshmark is a slime pit of fakes and fakes sellers, and if it turns out to be fake you have NO way of getting your money back, as far as I can tell.

Damn a whole pound?! Ok I believe you ;) I know, I've reported so many replicas on PM & they rarely do anything about it, it's aggravating :/ Oh well, darnit it's a cute bag, one of the better fakes I've see recently at least lol

I can't say my opinion of Poshmark or I'd be banned from tpf. (The language isn't allowed! :censor: ) Suffice it to say that I put Poshmark right up there with iOffer and Listia, other sites that do absolutely nothing to assure that their members comply with federal trademark law or even with their own policies. Poshmark, iOffer and Listia only care about their own bottom lines and to heck with their members!

As for the bag you're looking at from seller megkatkel, it's fake. (I don't think Coach would even mix different signature patterns on an item. This fake has Op Art and the original signature pattern on the same bag.)

Even if a seller has authentic items, I don't recommend doing business and supporting a site that doesn't care about following the law.
