Need help to authenticate this bag:
Item : Coach Hamilton Flap Black Pebbled Leather Bag Purse 13957
The stitches on the creed don't look perfect to me ( at the right bottom of the creed).
Wonder if it's fake?

Comments: I'm so sorry that my fist just post is asking for your help authenticating a bag :( I just found this forum not even a week ago. I flew off the handle and went bidding on this. Only AFTER I a friend of mine asked what if it's fake did I notice in the 2nd to last picture there is a zipper in the rear snap closed pocket. I've got one of these bags which I got from a full price store last week and it doesn't have a zip pocket in that area so when I saw it alarm bells started ringing in my head. Thank you in advance for your help.

I agree that the listing appears to show an authentic bag, style 7789.

I'd like to add my 2 cent's worth based on what I've seen in the past in Filippino listings. Listings on ebay and other sites have been showing up with AAA fakes, often so "good" that even side-by-side comparisons to known authentic bags are difficult to see the differences.

Again, this bag seems to be fine but always ask about any item you're planning on buying if it's coming from the Philippines.

That's the corner where Coach usually doubled the stitching for 3 or 4 stitches. It's normal.

Hamptons or Hamilton Flap, the name is still being debated, see the "ID This Coach" forum.

Please post a picture of the creed for your other bag as well as a picture of the pocket in your other bag.

It's probably a case of similar styles but not the same style number and therefore differences between them.

That's very interesting. I notice that your bag is a current (newer) one, having been made in March, 2013 whereas the ebay listing was made in 2011.

It looks like Coach might have made some changes (cost-saving for them?) to the design in the more recent version.

Notice also that the older one has the "burnished leather" text on the creed.

Even seeing the differences, I don't see anything that indicates that the either bag is fake.

I'm posting side-by-side comps for the records of those who save "oddities" as well as a way to make comparisons easier.

Other opinions are welcome.
