On the last item, I can't say for sure either way. I have one of these in red. On mine, the shape of the flap is different. The red of mine is darker, like the red of most red bags made in the late 90's, early 2000's. The brightness of the brass hardware makes me believe that if this is authentic, it would have been made much later, because earlier items were made with real brass plating that would tarnish with age. Other than the hangtag, there is no indication that it is Coach anywhere on the item. I find it questionable that Coach wouldn't have imprinted their name somewhere on the item, just like they do on every part of every keychain they make these days. In my opinion, they would only have made this omission on very early products. Mine has the Coach lozenge logo imprinted on the back and the words "made in China" on the bottom. I can't recommend bidding on it.

It looks good to me. It is a twill version of a basic bag. I don't know exactly when it was made. It could have been anywhere from the mid 70's to the late 80's, but I suspect it is closer to the later date because I think the leather version came out first, and it has a specially worded creed for it. Maybe Demram or Hyacinth can tell you more.

Do you know when you got it? Maybe this was an outlet version?

ETA: Actually the flap on yours has the same shape as mine. The one is the listing looks different. Yours looks like the hardware could be nickel. Maybe yours was made earlier than mine. The brightness of the brass on the one in the listing bothers me.

I have quite a few of those and none of them are stamped "Coach". I don't know about outlet versions but Coach did make 2 slightly different versions of the City Bag keychain, and they did make later ones at least from the late '90s with silver-color hardware.

The red one in the listing looks genuine.

I only have a few catalogs from the NYC period but there was a Twill version of most Coach styles available in the Summer 1986 catalog.

Make sure you ask for the condition of the braided area of the handle and see if she will add a photo. I believe that is a water stain on the one corner?
