To add to Whateve's comment, I want to say that the same serial number can also be found on fake scribble totes. Usually the fakes with the "correct" serial/style number are obvious though.

I saved the following picture after finding it had a "valid" serial number, was the "correct" style for that serial number yet the bag is fake.

Hi ladies,

I bought this Court bag on a whim, completely forgetting to think about authenticity. Seller refunded me already, but now I'm wondering if I was wrong. The number and strap (not adjustable) seemed off to me, but now I'm thinking maybe it was just pre-1994?

Im looking at this item on craigslist. I'm wondering why the creed looks to be on blue material but the inside of the purse looks purple?

It looks genuine. Colors very often don't show correctly on computers or with digital cameras and based on the lighting used, don't worry about it and don't ever assume all the colors are accurate on your screen.

The bag is genuine - I hope you didn't tell the seller you thought it was fake.

Coach sometimes changed details over the years. Court Bags had 44-inch non-adjustable REMOVEABLE straps until early 1997. There's nothing wrong with the strap or the bag.

Absolutely NOT. The "Gallery Tote" is a complete fake. Coach didn't make ANY Signature C bags before 2000, and none of them In Italy AFAIK, in fact the Gallery Tote wasn't even made until 2004. Report away!

I agree that the bag is authentic.

The creed is natural vachetta leather and I think it's probably picking up a reflection from the purple lining.

There is a wristlet that looks just like that at the factory stores now currently but I can't prove it is authentic with just those pictures.
