Could someone please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
Another Goodwill find...
Approx. 8"w at bottom x 12"h x 6"d Strap drop to buckle 17"
Does anyone know her name, style # and a guestimate of age?
All I know is her buckles and strap remind me of a Fletcher bag.
As always, thanks in advance!

It's a Monterey Hobo from the Lightweight line that a year later became the Sohos. That's why the buckles look like the ones on the Fletcher and other Soho bags. Style number 4027, early 1990s.

Name: VTG COACH 4935 SONOMA NUBUK LEATHER SHOULDER BAG HANDBAG PURSE SATCHEL HOBO
Seller: nviolet
Number: 171077665043

Just curious about this one. It looks like a cross between Sonoma and Ergo. The seller got the style number wrong.

I've never seen it before but the style number looks like it could be -4395. There was at least one other Ergo Nubuc Hobo made during the same period with number -4394 so this is probably a size variant. I've also seen a few others that are only described in my files as a Nubuc Zip Bag and a Mini Hobo, styles 4398 and 4399, pics below. It probably wouldn't have been considered a Sonoma but the actual name of the line is still a mystery - maybe just Ergo Nubuc? They were probably introduced right around or after the time the Sonomas were being discontinued - maybe to help Coach get rid of all that striped fabric! :graucho:

Thanks! I knew you would help solve the mystery!

I have info on 4 Nubuc Ergos in that number range from that general date. Note that measurements are not mine, but taken from info found elsewhere (and thus, only as reliable as those who measured them!):

4395 Nubuc Ergo 9 ½” tall x 12 ½” wide x 3 ¼” across base
4396 Nubuc Ergo; 7” tall x 9” wide x 2” across base

4398 Nubuc Ergo Large; 9” tall x 12” wide x 2 ¼” across base
4399 Nubuc Ergo Small; 5 ½” tall x 9” wide x 2” across base

And speaking of Ergos, here's an "A" plant code with an error in the serial number:

Item: Coach Red Bag Vintage Number A8-A6102
Seller: njshopper06
Item #330928973882

The seller only had one picture, and it was listed as green, however I am not so sure. I think it is dark navy. Is there any way to tell?

This is a thriftshop grab that I have bad feelings about - I bought without looking closely enough because it was RED and appeared to be vintage - and I love red vintage Coach.
I just noticed it had no serial number - and a few other details that worry me.. so... here it is in all its glory, I hope I am wrong and it's authentic..:greengrin:

In my possession, purchased (very cheaply thank gawd) at a thrift..

ETA.. just noticed.. I think the creed says "SCRTCHES"
arrrggghhh
