Hello!
Would someone kindly authenticate this Coach bag? I am especially concerned about the wobbly stitching on the bottom. Thank you in advance!

Style: Patricia's Legacy 9951
Listing: 221224512966
Seller: gmc_2012

Fake. A much bigger problem is how the inside zipper is installed, there is a detail only seen on fakes. The top zipper also has problems and that isn't set correctly into the bag either.

As much as I hate painting all sellers from a particular country with a broad brush, unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable in authenticating items from sellers in the Philippines. There have been far too many 5-star, AAA, mirror image or whatever other terminology might be used to describes scary "good" fakes.

That was my first thought too, but the seller lists their location as in the US and there's no evidence to prove they're not.

I think their Coach items look ok, but they seem to buy some "distressed" items that may be shelf-damaged or old or discontinued inventory. For instance the last Negative they received was for a NWT bag that has a store markdown tag, and there have been a few comments about items having more flaws than what showed in the listing.

Thank you so much! I will contact the seller.

Just to show what I mean here's a photo of the full inside pocket zipper on a genuine 9951. See how the ends of the zipper go all the way to the trim around the edge of the pocket? The one you asked about has two extra pieces of leather at the ends of the zipper to make it fit the pocket. That's something we only see on fakes. Also look at the end of the zipper on the left side of the fake - see the gap between the end of the teeth and the metal stop at the end of the zipper? You shouldn't see that on a genuine Coach. Compare it to my second pic of the top zipper on a genuine bag.

And that is why I don't buy from sellers in my country, I thought these were located in Georgia? Please take a look again.

Ty so much for your input. I wouldn't mind a few more small marks here and there as long as the items are authentic.

Many thanks for the explanation! I did have my doubts about the gaps at the ends of the upper zipper, but I did not notice the problem with the inside pocket zipper. Now it looks obvious. The seller, however, insists that the bag is real. I hope your post will convince him.

This seller's reaction is an example why many of us just report the fakes and let ebay be the "bad guy" when the takedown happens. Too many sellers either lie about authenticity or they are truly in denial. Either way, often they don't appreciate a heads up and rather than being grateful that you are trying to help, they will report your message to ebay as "harassment" and your own account can be dinged.

I've learned my lesson the hard way and no longer contact sellers. And in this case, clearly, the seller, gmc_2012 didn't do the right thing by ending the listing. I recommend reporting it.

I apologize. I saw the ebay.ph website and pricing and shipping in Filippino dollars and didn't realize that it was a US item location.

The bags look good.
