I'll defer to the experts but I noticed the following additional red flags
- Serial number font is very thick
- E plant code should be for Italy but this bag says it was made in US

I agree with BeenBurned, the E plant code is a big red flag. Also the magnetic snaps used during that time period especially on a bag that was supposedly made in the US would have had an American manufacturer's name or a valid US patent number. I don't think it's genuine.

The bag itself looks ok but like the listing says, the strap has been either replaced with a shorter one or actually cut down at some time in the past. I'd ask for better photos of the end of the straps before buying to see if one end has actually been cut and re-sewn, which is what it looks like to me especially the end on the left side in the photo.

Always check listings for older bags carefully for any signs of strap modifications.

Comment: The photo of the creed looks like it is a United States creed with J5S-9983. Was Coach using an S plant code in the United States in 1995??? I don't see any obvious red flags on the bag.

1- so far the only 1995 S plant code I've found is one apparently genuine briefcase from China dated October (K) 1995, so while that's not enough to prove the bag is fake it would be enough to keep me from bidding on it. It also seems strange that all the other Reginas in the current listings came from the "C" plant.

2- the link's not working, looks like Ebay may have removed the bag

Please take a look at this when you get s chance. It's similar to my stewardesses but older and a little different. It's approximately 10w x 8.5h x 4d and has a symbol on the handle and an id holder under the flap. Thanks so much!

As much as I hate painting all sellers from a particular country with a broad brush, unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable in authenticating items from sellers in the Philippines. There have been far too many 5-star, AAA, mirror image or whatever other terminology might be used to describes scary "good" fakes.
