1- I don't trust this one. AFAIK this style along with the other 2 with that same V'd front flap was only made in 1993. It's the only time I've ever seen one with a style number in the serial. Also other creeds I have photos of with the samke H5C- serial prefix all hace the new-style creed stamps with the country of manufacture included in the body of the creed statement. There's a very good chance that it's fake but I'm not 100 percent sure.

2- 9965 looks ok but it's called a Legacy Small Flap

3- 9014 is a Berkeley Saddle Bag

4- genuine Sonoma Fishing Creel, Natural Grain
Thank you. Yes, the first one seems very off :nogood: Thank you for the additional information and name corrections.

I feel like a complete (insert your own word here), but after thinking about it all night, I decided to message the seller and end the transaction. I am just not comfortable with the probability of it being fake - while I know there's a good chance it's *not*, I'm still so new to this that it's sort of outside my comfort zone. I would rather walk away from a real bag then take a somewhat decent chance of getting a fake right now. If I had caught the extra dash in the creed tag I probably would not have bid anyways, but I messed up and didn't see that until the auction ended.
That's fine. It is better to be completely comfortable with a transaction. The worst cases are when we can't say for certain that an item is fake because then you don't have a case to get your money back. I've had a few of those.

A belated thanks! There were so many fake Goaches in that store I started forgetting what real ones were like

Side question - opinions - if you see obvious fakes out in the wild (ie at resale, thrift or consignment stores), do you think should they be told, or is it just a waste of time?

And side comment..
I am LOVING the new Purse Forum app, specifically because I can now easily keep up to date with all the info and education provided in this thread, and very easy to post photos etc ---really great!
Honestly, it is probably a waste of time to tell them. I have done it a few times and they never do anything about it. They might be more receptive at a consignment store than a thrift store.

You're right. I didn't open the listing; just looked at the other listings and not seeing anything that screamed fake, I moved on. (And funny thing is, I don't usually "just move on!")

I'd like Hyacinth's opinion on this one. The last picture showing the trigger clip looks "off" too:

Yep, the wrist strap doesn't look right. And why a wrist strap with a ziparound wallet? I haven't looked at wallets for a long time but this one is just giving off bad vibes. The Coach Leatherware stamp looks too big, and I don't remember too many wallets with "Leatherware" on the Carriage Logo-type stamp. The inside zipper pull is definitely wrong, and the whole thing just looks very un-Coach.

ETA - the wrist strap should have a leather "keeper" at the ends of the strap where it's attached to the pull ring, not just a cheap rivet, unless they're really making them on the cheap now. That teardrop leather outside zipper pull looks bogus too, and so does that dogleash clip.

Theses are the only style of wallet I've found with a wrist strap, and the strap isn't attached through the leather, it's attached right to the outside zipper on the Zippys.

I've seen teardrop zipper pulls on Penelope items but this wallet isn't penelope. And on Penelope items, the teardrop has nice stitching; not a cheap metal rivet in the middle:

Yep. I'm very comfortable with reporting it. There's nothing "Coach" about it except for the bogus Carriage stamp, which as well as being too big would never be on that kind of wallet.

Thanks! ;) Wanted confirmation via a second (and third) opinion.

ETA: I'm seeing that the seller's feedback indicates that she buys for resale. I didn't find the purchase of this fake wallet but her other purchases look good.

Hey ladies! I've never seen a dust bag like this so I thought I'd post it to see what you think. The material looks similar to those used for shoe dust bags from some other brands though.
