Thanks... I was concerned about that prefix and a couple of details on the strap. I'd like to show the seller this...what's the best way to link this? I usually just copy the url.
If you click on the post number of Hyacinth's post, that post will be the URL and you can send her the link. It'll open to that post.

No Ergo I''ve ever seen has a Coach stamp on it. Aside from the elephant-skin leather, the Coach stamp is also in the wrong position AND missing the second line.
Right, during the era when Coach stamping the outside of bags, you never see the Coach on the outside without New York below it. I'm going to report it. Hopefully the buyer hasn't paid yet.

Please tell her about the wallet too - I've edited my original post. Looks like she already removed the fake bag.

Unless she personally bought them directly from Coach, the seller needs to have her Coach items authenticated before listing them.

She says that she received many of these as gifts through her husband's company many years ago. She calls them "pillow gifts" because they would be left on their hotel pillows after meetings. I don't think she would every sell something that wasn't authentic...she just doesn't know. I've given her all the links to here now so that she can authenticate them BEFORE she lists them!

Item: Navy Station Bag
Seller: nicole_yellow
Link: http://r.ebay.com/lopiX9
Comment: Station bag with the J8H prefix and an odd serial number. Thoughts? TIA

Definitely fake.

ETA - seller also has a fake Coach wallet. The stamp has been added later, is too big and not positioned correctly, the details of the ID window are wrong, the style was never made by Coach, and neither was the generic print lining.

I'm not seeing that the fake bag was ended.

It's still up and running with 29 days, 20 hours left:

The wallet is still up too.

Hello,
New here and this is my first post. I picked up this bag at a thrift store loving the look/feel before realizing it had a Coach tag. I've tried to find others that are similar and have not been successful. Just wondering if it is real.
Thank you for any input!
Erin

Nice find. It's an authentic bag (Chelsea collection) from 2006.
