Oops! meant to attach my thanks to the thread. I just love these older purses, I think more than the new ones (gotta few of them too).

I have a question. What makes a purse vintage is it 20 years? 15? I have no clue. Thanks.

Most of the vintage sellers and collectors seem to use 20 years as the cutoff.

hi experts!

please let me know if this bag is authentic. tia! :)

Item: [Authentic]COACH Hand Tote Shoulder Bag
Listing number: 181132034154
Seller: miji79
Link: http://www.ebay.ph/itm/Authentic-CO...tDomain_211&hash=item2a2c4f806a#ht_972wt_1139

thanks again!
I'm sorry but I don't feel comfortable authenticating listings from ebay.ph because we've been seeing some fakes out of there that are sooooooo "good" that it's scary. Personally, though I realize and understand why you'd prefer to buy from your own country, I don't recommend it.

Should you choose to buy from a Filippino seller, I don't recommend miji79 as the seller appears to shill her listings.

In this Dooney listing, click on the bidding history of the winning bidder -- 81 bids on 23 items, ALL from this seller's listings:
http://www.ebay.ph/itm/Authentic-Do...2?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_211&hash=item2a2b9e0cf2

and then the same bag was relisted and won by the same "buyer" here:
http://www.ebay.ph/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181128147936

And now it's been relisted again:
http://www.ebay.ph/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181133364452

IMO, this isn't a seller with whom you want to do business.

Was this bag authentic?

It looks authentic, however the Apropos little tag looks like from a modern bag, it was sold already when I saw it.
Please wait for DemRam's opinion on this one. I do notice that the black Coach plaque is different from the one I had on my BC bag. However, it's possible/probable that they may have used different logos and fonts. The lining texture and color placement look correct.

The "Apropos" tag looks like one that a store might at to items it sells. A google search found several stores (one in Paso Robles, CA) with that name.

Please wait for other opinions because wallets are tricky and unless these are your own pictures of the actual wallet, I have concerns.

1. The first set of pictures looks to be an authentic wallet and the color appears to be mahogany
2. The last 2 pictures don't show enough views to authentic but the color of the wallet in those pictures appears to be British tan.
3. The "link" in your "Wallet" above links to a Filippino website and as has been posted many times, the fakes coming out of the Philippines are so "good" that we don't recommend buying from that country.

So my question is: Are the pictures all showing the same item? And do we know that the wallet in the pictures show the actual item the seller has.

This is precisely one of the reasons why we request links to the sites where these items are listed.

oh my. thanks for the heads up. will stay away from this seller!

I've seen metal tags that look just like the one on that bag. The style is an earlier version of my beloved 2111 clutch.

Hello, this bag looks ok to me, but would like more info because of the serial number 8E92 and signature lining.

Item: Coach Hamptons Black Leather tote 8E92
Listing number: 271193835200
Seller: fabulous-4-less-2008
Link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/271193835200?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Thanks so much everyone!
The creed picture is too blurry for me to authenticate. For a period of time, Coach was using a combination of letters and numbers in their style numbers. The style number on the listing is for a bag that looks like this. It was originally a full price item, probably made around 2005.
