Flag the listing as "prohibited." There seems to be one authentic Coach but most of the other brand name items are obvious fakes.

This listing expired this morning, but I was wondering if it was in fact genuine. It appears the exterior was re-dyed which caused me to pass but I've never seen soft straps on what may be a watermelon?

Hi, all! Longtime lurker, first time poster.![]()
Item: COACH Brown Flap Shoulder Purse Bag JAC 9951
Listing number: 300868413920
Seller: antiques_sandy

Comments: H'okay, so. The item name is a typo. According to the picture of the creed, the first three digits are J4C rather than JAC. But the bag itself looks ... Confused? I asked the seller for more pictures, and she posted pictures 7-10, but somehow 2 and 4 look like they came from another bag entirely. Also, this looks like a Court bag, but the description and creed read 9951 rather than 9870.![]()
Please help!
When you get a chance... I just picked this up and love it, but it's a little stinky and has weird spots lol. Before I invest too much time into it...wanted to make sure it's authentic! And if so...what in the world is it?!?
Thanks so much as always! Ignore my daughter's dog

Re same seller, antiques_sandy -VERY fake. Not just the wrong style number, but the strap ends are wrong, and like you noticed, the photos are from 2 different bags - one strap has sewn ends and the other's ends are riveted (which is something you hardly ever find in a Coach). One strap has the end that goes thru the buckle finished off in a V, the other just has the end chopped off. The one with the chopped-off end looks like a Lunch Box Zip which the seller also has for sale, and neither one of them is a Patricia's Legacy. She may have put the wrong photos up but the original bag still isn't right. (I notice that the Lunch Box Zip listing doesn't mention the chopped-off strap).
ETA - There's also a problem with the creed stamp itself, one of the elements doesn't look like it should for that plant, month and year.
Hi everyone! Last week, Hyacinth authenticated a bag for me,here is the link to it:http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-763164-298.html#post24164973 Well, it arrived today and is quite beautiful. I read that some Sheridans didn't have serial #'s and this one doesn't but it does have a creed (with 2 bullet holes if that means anything)....pictures below...if you don't mind indulging this newbie, just wanted reassurance that it is authentic even without a serial#....as always thank you for your time and expertise all!

oh, thanks, Hyacinth - didn't want to imply that I needed an opinion other than yours at all -so sorry! It is just when I got the bag and saw the creed with no serial#. it threw me a bit (but, I know they sometimes don't have #'s). Thanks for taking the time to look again - I can rest easy.I don't see any reason to change my opinion. If I hadn't been sure in the first post I would have said so. But if you want other opinions you're welcome to them.
