Hi, all! Longtime lurker, first time poster. :-D

Item: COACH Brown Flap Shoulder Purse Bag JAC 9951
Listing number: 300868413920
Seller: antiques_sandy
Link: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=300868413920

Comments: H'okay, so. The item name is a typo. According to the picture of the creed, the first three digits are J4C rather than JAC. But the bag itself looks ... Confused? I asked the seller for more pictures, and she posted pictures 7-10, but somehow 2 and 4 look like they came from another bag entirely. Also, this looks like a Court bag, but the description and creed read 9951 rather than 9870. :-(

Please help!

VERY fake. Not just the wrong style number, but the strap ends are wrong, and like you noticed, the photos are from 2 different bags - one strap has sewn ends and the other's ends are riveted (which is something you hardly ever find in a Coach). One strap has the end that goes thru the buckle finished off in a V, the other just has the end chopped off. The one with the chopped-off end looks like a Lunch Box Zip which the seller also has for sale, and neither one of them is a Patricia's Legacy. She may have put the wrong photos up but the original bag still isn't right. (I notice that the Lunch Box Zip listing doesn't mention the chopped-off strap).

ETA - There's also a problem with the creed stamp itself, one of the elements doesn't look like it should for that plant, month and year.

When you get a chance... I just picked this up and love it, but it's a little stinky and has weird spots lol. Before I invest too much time into it...wanted to make sure it's authentic! And if so...what in the world is it?!?

Thanks so much as always! Ignore my daughter's dog :)

It's either an expensive rawhide chew OR a Broadway Satchel.:smile1:

Hi everyone! Last week, Hyacinth authenticated a bag for me,here is the link to it:http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-763164-298.html#post24164973 Well, it arrived today and is quite beautiful. I read that some Sheridans didn't have serial #'s and this one doesn't but it does have a creed (with 2 bullet holes if that means anything)....pictures below...if you don't mind indulging this newbie, just wanted reassurance that it is authentic even without a serial#....as always thank you for your time and expertise all!

Re same seller, antiques_sandy -

She doesn't show a picture of the creed so it's possible that she might have copied the serial number wrong or the made in location, but would the E plant code (based on title) be on a bag that was made in USA (in description)?
Authentic? http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Auth-...367?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item460d27cec7

Any opinion on this one? The prefix looks a bit "squished"

And there's a J8Y bag in the completeds. Authentic?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Older-Black...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Interesting mix of typos, authentic and fake.

Hello! New user, seller recommended I come here to seek wisdom. Seller is also going to scan/photo receipt for me later tonight. Seller says it was purchased from Dillards.
Seller #2 hasn't responded yet to receipt request, but i just sent it not very long ago.
Thank you in advance! Please let me know if you are referencing #1 or #2. I appreciate anyone who takes a moment to take a look!

I don't see any reason to change my opinion. If I hadn't been sure in the first post I would have said so. But if you want other opinions you're welcome to them.

oh, thanks, Hyacinth - didn't want to imply that I needed an opinion other than yours at all -so sorry! It is just when I got the bag and saw the creed with no serial#. it threw me a bit (but, I know they sometimes don't have #'s). Thanks for taking the time to look again - I can rest easy. :smile1:
