PLEASE help. Is this real? I really really want to get it but I have NEVER bought from Ebay ever... I'd really appreciate it if any of you guys could help me, thank you so much in advance.. :)
Hi MsCBear--
I know I don't have many tPF posts, but I will say I have a lot of Coach experience, at least with collections from 2005 - current, as well as a lot of Coach-on-eBay experience (buying and selling, as well as identifying/reporting fakes).... Anyway, I don't mean to step on the experts toes' here, that ARE more well-known on tPF, but saw that your question was still up in the air.... :-)

Also, I don't want to self-proclaim "expert" status - because each of us has a different idea of what constitutes an "expert" -- but in my humble opinion, I'm very experienced with authenticating certain Coach styles/collections & am very confident in saying that yes, this is an authentic Coach "Brooke" Hobo with Pebbled Leather. If you find another listing, or have any other questions - feel free to post again! It seems there are a LOT of knowledgeable and helpful people on this site, so I look forward to seeing what they have to say about the listing(s) you post, as well as try to be as helpful as I can.

Ok, here's a Coach jewelry box I'm not familiar with, and the seller is referring to it as "Coach Leatherette" -- anyone have more information on this item/style? It doesn't seem authentic to me, based on the description.

I also question their other "Coach" items -- as they are all listed as faux leather. I vote for all "fake" but wondering what you all think:

Thanks for your time!! :smile1:

The jewelry box doesn't strike me as the kind of quality Coach would have sold at a retail store.

The mirror might have been one of those free gifts that Coach often includes in Japanese fashion magazines, but I don't understand why the seller's listing is also showing it in half a dozen different patterns. The seller's collage photo of the small mirror is too small to read the card that they say came with it, assuming we can find someone here who reads Japanese.

If the items are genuine, the jewelry box may also have been a free gift or maybe a purchase or gift with purchase. Coach probably wouldn't use genuine leather for a freebie. Someone familiar with those Japanese special promotions needs to take a look.

Ahh, I didn't think about the magazine "Freebies" - good point!
It was hard for me to tell the quality of the items - it *does* seem like many aspects are "spot on" whereas other aspects, I just don't know - need better pics & more angles (like a straight-on one of the "Lozenge" logo). Your suggestion is a great one - to see if there's anyone with the Japanese promo experience - so I will wait and see if anyone else responds... Thanks, Hyacinth!!

Good after noon!! I got this cute bag from a local thrift store today and am now having some doubts about it. Please Authenticate

I have just fallen in love with the classic Coach bags. Any hints or things to look for would be greatly appreciated.

The 1st one looks like a City Bag, which is style 9790 . That one was made pre-1994 so it has a random serial number.

The 2nd one appears to be an authentic Convertible Clutch, which is style 9635.

If you are interested in any Coach bags you need to read the Guides listed below. If you have a question about a particular bag - ask us here.

Comments: I love this purse, but I'm not sure if it's authentic or not. I've tried finding similiar purses to it, but cannot find anything in the same colour. Plus something about the Cs seem off to me.

Thank you! I decided my next one will be vintage, because that forces me to educate myself.

There's nothing wrong with the C's, they're in the Scribble design.

I don't see any problems.

Any help authenticating would be appreciated - thanks!
